Your trigger will get better after you shoot it some. I'd say mine started feeling "right" after 200-300 rounds.

Beat me to it! My trigger smoothed out after 300-350 rounds. Runs so good now. I shot mine after a month hiatus and I was pleasantly reminded of how much I love shooting this gun. Be patient and I think you'll find the trigger will find its way.

I don't remember my .40 trigger being gritty. All I know is that it is easy and smooth now, after almost a year. At 7 to 15 feet, it is accurate. Beyond that, my Glock 22 Gen 4 out performs the shield.
