Has anyone picked up the new Zombie Slayer edition yet?

Sorry for the poor quality pic, it's a bit more lime green in reality.

I'm loading mine with Hornady Zombie Max with Winchester Silvertips in reserve for werewolves.

Zombie Killing Ammo

I think S&W has a shot at beating out Ruger with this one.
Let me know what you guys think.

I never quite understood this type of thing. People treating their firearms more like toys than weapons/tools. How would this look in court if you had to use this Shield in a self defense or off duty situation? I don't even like the idea of "zombiemax" ammo, even though its regular functioning real ammo with a green tip instead of red. Just my thoughts...

I fear this gimmick will have consequences as small children may indeed see these as toys. I had a neighbor's child when the shells first appeared on shelves ask if the Zombie slugs were "toys". Gets a few laughs now, but what happens when..........?

This trend of guns and ammo for Zombies , pink guns or any other other thing that makes a gun "look like toys" is nuts..... they are not toys.

I don't think we want guns that look like toys anymore than we want toys/airsoft to look "exactly like" guns.

Accidents happen easily enough without confusing other people of Kids!

PS I have been known to bond with my teenage boys with a episode of "The Walking Dead" LOL

If firearms safety was taught in schools as part of the regular curriculum, along with money management and survival, we wouldn't have a lot of these ignorant "accidents".

Gun looks nice.

+1, especially on the court aspect. Even if you are not prosecuted in a SD shooting you may find yourself on the wrong end of a wrongful death law suit.

In either case, criminal or civil suit, the opposing attorney will try to paint you as a "gun nut" eager to use your weapon. Don't give them any extra ammunition like this(no pun intended).

Just so we're clear, this post was jokingly meant to poke fun at the zombie craze. (Notice the grin emoticon at the beginning)

This is just a normal M&P Shield with a very poor photoshop job by me. :p

I agree with everyone who dislikes the introduction of zombies  into the world of firearms and every other area for that matter.

Boys, as I see it this Zombie marketing concept now out there by several manufacturers is nothing but trouble for responsible gun owners. We just dodged, extreme new gun laws, and ask the folks to take a look at mental issues, video games, Movies, etc. Now, along come gun manufacturers chasing the almighty $ and play right into the hand of our opponents with this kind of nonsense. Put yourself on the opposite side of the fence. Here is one statement decrying the influence of video games/hollywood/ what have you, and the gun manufacturers are supplying the gun to do away with what Hollywood and video has created. A total figment of ones imagination. At 71 I have yet to see a zombie and really think it is nonsense to market in that direction. To say I am dissappointed in these manufacturers is an understatement.

First off, I too really like "The Walking Dead".

As far as coloring or marks go, what about FDE? or whatever else as colors for different parts of guns? Where do you draw the line? Pink and zombie green seem to be out.

I know I'm about to unleash a storm, but personally I think pistols with the FDE grip inserts look more like toys than the original, all black versions. Same goes for AR-15 rifles, when they are decked out in half FDE furniture, they don't look the military counterpart any longer and resemble toys or airsoft more.

Many are bound to disagree, but that's just how I feel about it. If you're going to start coloring things, how can you say one color is allowed and tasteful, but another color is "toyish"?

Zombie stuff is kin to the guys coloring their plastic 22 cal AR-15's with crayons - why??? Not a fad that will go over well in a court...

For my own part, I find that ordinary guns work just fine on Zombies. :)

As to green, pink or other colors or fads, I suppose some people like that sort of thing. I am just not one of them.

I would like to remind everyone, in case you have forgotten, that the Honorable Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City, took certain companies to task for providing non-traditional finishes.

In 2006 His Honor wanted to outlaw the purchase and use of "gun colorization kits" and proposed a fine of $1,000.00. The Mayor said:

"Just think about how sick it is. What possible reason can you give to want to paint a gun so it looks like a child's toy gun, other than to put a police officer in one of those impossible positions? People will do a lot of twisted things to make a buck. This probably sets a new low and we are going to stop it."

If he is opposed to it, that is a good enough reason for us to support it. Therefore, get your Zombie Slayer or your pink Bloomberg special, and remember to "shoot safely and enjoy your sport."

Im about fed up with this politically correct BS we continue to be spoon fed like little children who cant think or care for themselves.

If a man or woman wants a pink, green, or purple pokedot firearm, they should have it! The 2nd amendment guarantees it, and I support that right of CHOICE we all have. Never law your choices away, keep as much and fight for as much freedom as you can before it's taken away.

I like zombie stuff. There I said it. I own the Remington r1 and vesa max done up in zombie reaper cammo. I love the walking dead and all zombie movies. Is it stupid? You bet. That's part of what I like. It's fun. Would I carry a zombie gun? No. First off if you defend yourself somebody is taking your gun as evidence. Think they care about your guns finish? You want holster wear on a zombie gun? Then the issue of gun owner example makers as we seen in the Zimmerman trial and why would you give the hoplophobes any ammo? Guns as toys? Never? What's pin matches turkey shoots trap ipsic idpa hunter clays bullseye skeet 3 gun COWBOY ACTION come on now. They are all games. I hear that there is zombie shoots all over. This prejudice is same old hunter vs black gun bolt vs auto wood vs plastic. We need to stick together promote safety and oppose the anti second amendment crowd every where, every time, always. They can't win if we won't loose.
