I saw the Sport II on Bud' Gun Shop early one morning after looking for a few months for one so I immediately bought it. It's a free state version and I couldn't have hoped for a better transaction. I saw gun, I bought gun, I received gun, all as advertised can't ask for more than that. I got the shipping lube cleaned out (It's even in the manual that comes with it to do that) and re oiled so I'll start breaking it in soon. Here's a shot of my M&P duo.

Someone here has paid attention, picture or it didn't happen! Congratz! Buds is a great place to buy from, I've had multiple transactions with them, all smooth and fast. It's usually a toss up for me between them and Grabagun.

I like that it appears S&W are using the slim hand guard, I like those better than the tall ones.

Hey A-2 -- what's the exact model of that handgun, and what caliber? That thing looks PERFECT for CCW; I have a Sig P2022 that I really like, in .40 S&W, but it's a little big for a CC gun. That M&P you got there is NICE looking, and looks like a perfect size. I'm hoping it comes in 9mm, as that's what I'm thinking for a carry gun...

That is a S&W M&P 9c (9mm compact) and I love it. It is one of the best guns I've ever owned and lots of fun to shoot. It has 1200 rounds through it with no problems at all and it's with me everywhere I go.

I'll second the compact, mine is the 40c, my usual carry. The Shield is also an excellent altrnative

A-2, and crracer 712 -- thanks for the info, gents. I'm going to look into the M&P 9c, and the Shield, as well.

Thank you, much appreciated!

Steve

You will love it..
Just got my Sport 2 out on the range Sunday and put 200 rounds threw her..
Ran flawless, Irons were dead on from the factory..
I did grab a magpul Furniture kit for mine, should arrive later this week..
The buttstock from magpul is better than the stock one it ships with...(Your mileage may vary)
Plus magpul has some great deals on closeout items ..

Congrats, I bet you love the gun. I have a regular Sport and it has performed flawlessly. Love your 9C too, even though I chose the Shield in 9, but they are similar. Great little guns.

Thanks,

Steve

Magpul webpage... they have a closeouts section. I bought the Magpul Art of the Tactical Carbine DVDs from there awhile back for cheap... still haven't watched them though.

I was finally able to get a couple of hundred rounds fired down range with the new rifle and I can say I believe this going to be a beautiful relationship. There's nothing like the smell of new weapon breaking in mixed with spent gun powder. And I had to fire 50 more rounds through the good old dependable 9c. Great fun
