New to me model 10

A quick look dates the gun around 1979-1980 by serial number. Hardly any burn rings on the cylinder, pinned barrel and firing pin on the hammer. I'm excited to own it. Can't wait to get it out to the range!

Thank you sir. Im very excited to have it!! Hopefully it shoots as great as it looks!

That's a great price. The new J Frames start around $400 and you don't get much of a gun (I know since I've bought 2). It looks to me like you stole it. I'd paid that all day long or at least until the back of my pick-up truck was full.

Thanks Doc. I appreciate it. This is my first pre lock Smith with pinned barrel and I was nervous buying it.

Well done Sir, nice snag! I really like the heavy barrel 10's and 64's, great for DA shooting.

That's a good price,lgs around here has 2 10's very used 325 &350 good find

Thank you everyone. Heading to the range this afternoon to put some lead down range as see how it does. I'm excited!!

You done well! I had a 10-8 from Bud's. (police turn in) Ugly, but it would shoot. At Sept. gun show, I bought a beautiful 13-2. The price was right. It shoots quite well. Enjoy your 10! Bob

OP, that was a great deal! The current Bud's trade ins are listed as 70%-80% guns at $319. I have one from an earlier shipment that was less money but similar condition. I agree with bananaman, ugly, but a good shooter! You've got the best of both worlds at a good price!

That's a good price from the looks of it. Shoot the heck out of it.

I have never seen a police trade in in that condition so I don't think that comparison is valid. The grips look practically new. I don't know your regional pricing but in the pacific northwest that is a $450-$500 revolver, nice score.
