Non-Pinned 64-3 just picked it up. Has quite the finish wear, scratches. Looking for info on the S on the bottom of the barrel and the B7 near the cylinder yoke, could it be from the Police department it came from? Don't see any other marks on the gun for location department ect. Based on the serial AHV # it is from around 1985. Do the stocks appear genuine S&W and Orginal to the gun?

Thank you,

Austin

Just factory inspector or assembly marks. Not PD applied.
I think the stocks are original...or original type.

I have a DAO 64-3. Put a wolf spring set in it and it's one of my favorite shooters. Spends a lot of time with me in the woods as well.

Picked one up from my buddies Uncles collection prior to his death. He was a policeman in MA. Then done over like the factory "combat revolver package" and here sporting some Grasshorn stocks.
