Wow! I'm excited. I found three nice S&W consignment guns this weekend and bought them.

I paid a premium for the 5906 since it was a ppt and it's not on the Ca DOJ Roster. But i always wanted one in my collection.
It has a square trigger guard and grips with a curved back.

I would like to hear from members to learn all I can about the 5906 9mm. Thanks!

I also bought a S&W Mdl 34-1 4" .22lr revolver and a S&W 686-4 6" L-Frame.

My pocketbook said, sorry on a Mdl 14 K-38 target, and two flat latch mint mdl 36 and 37 snubnose 38's and a mdl 19 .357 snubby.
Ohhh! So tempting.

I love the 5906. I try to stay away from S&W autos since they tend to grow just as bad as the revolvers.

Love that 34! Always wanted it's stainless sibling the 63 but can't seen to locate them! A nice haul indeed, thanks for showing them! Dale

Thank you guys!
Now, time to find some 10rd mags for my 5906,
since I live in California.

S&W has them in stock. Pricey at $41 per but that's the going rate for new name-brand mags. I ordered two and received them in four days.

Hi sw44spl,
Thanks! The 5906 will keep company with some of my other smith 9mm semi's.

Well I cleaned-up the aged and dark finish 5906 with a light touch with a green scotchbrite pad. The finish now looks like new from the factory.
Attached are a few pics.

How did you mark the magazines? Looks quite professional.

Hi Grog,
Thanks! I used my P-Touch Labeler with a White Lettering on Black Tape Cartridge. Then I trimmed down and applied to my magazine base and for better protection I applied clear nail polish over the label.

Here is another picture of my Glock 19 magazines that I labeled.
Take care and enjoy the 4th!

Fine choices there! My 6906 (which is the little brother to your 5906) and my 6" 686 are my favorites! (of course I have to include my 617 as well :D )

Your 6906 is still on my wish list.
Here in california I have to wait for a ppt for a 6906.

Your 6" 686 must be one of my favorites as well.
I bought two 6" 686-4's in June.

Take care and enjoy your Smith's!
