New to me

I just picked up a Model 36 ser. #498XXX. Can someone tell me about when it was shipped? Also, the logo and and barrel markings are gold colored...is this something done by previous owner?

I would guess 1967 or '68 as the ship date, and the gold lettering was a popular aftermarket mod at the time. Hope this is helpful.
