This is completely wrong. But then maybe you're not familiar with using a magnified optic in close quarters situations.ACOG? For HD? Who cares if it will survive you banging it on your safe, it will get you killed trying to peek through a 4x optic within 25 feet.

To save a little reading, here it is in short:
Using both eyes to acquire the target, focus on the target. Then bring the gun up into your vision. The eye behind the scope will automatically take over as it sees the target easier.
You should try this, it's easier than it sounds. Yes, I've used this method to win competitions with targets closer than 25 yards. Are irons or a red dot better at close distances? That's a discussion for another thread. However, to say that a magnified optic will get you killed, is ludicrous.
