So I bought a 3lb drop in trigger from Layke Tactical, installed it and brought the 15-22 to the range. I installed a bumpfire stock to screw around with and it fired 3 or 4 rounds then no more bang bang. I really can't tell whats wrong with it. I don't know how far out the firing pin is supposed to protrude when struck by hammer, so I'm not sure if It broke or something else is the issue. Bumpfires have worked for my friend with a 15-22, but anyone have any Ideas on wth my problem could be? Other then wanting to waste ammo with a bumpfire stock. It looks like the ammo is getting lightstrikes, but no primer ignition....

I think you have added too many variables at once. To troubleshoot an issue, you want to change one thing at a time. I suggest restoring the gun to original condition & firing a bunch. If you have no failures, then add in the new trigger... all by itself. If it fails, you know it is the trigger. If it works, then add your bullet hose.

Some AR triggers work in a 15-22 better than others. I had a Timney that gave me lite strikes & also caused other issues. CMC triggers have always worked on mine.

You could just lock the slidefire or what ever one you have and see if it fire's semi. Do you see any indentation on the round you just pulled the trigger on? A lite marks probably means not enough force to set off the primer around the rim. Like Redneck stated put the old trigger back and go from there it doesn't take that long to change.

Make sure the trigger spring wasn't installed backwards (drop in unit need not apply).

It looks like a variation of the Timney / Velocity trigger. Did it come with a plate that polymer lowers need to snug the screws up against?

No plate, I have re-cleaned and adjusted trigger and all internal parts. Will be testing again asap. Yes there are lightstrike marks on ammo. I'll post an update after the next test.
