New Trigger?

I'm surprised they lasted that long at that price. Gotta jump on those sale prices. Primary Arms, like a few others, can have them one day, gone the next, back the next, etc. I find it best to get on mailing lists to get a heads up on sales, etc. I'll be surprised if PA doesn't have them again, and on sale, very soon.

Sorry, but have better places to put my money. It is not match rifle, it is a plinker.
It is not a combat rifle, it it a .22LR plinker.
Spend your money on ammo and a good optic.

I have a great optic, ample supply of ammo.....and a Hiperfire 24C. :p
Same here. No idea why folks feel the need to post negative posts such as that. Good consistent ammunition, good optic or hard sights and a good trigger make for a very good combo. Trigger upgrades are arguably the best upgrade for about any firearm if available. With that said, "À chacun son goût." :)

For starters thanks bama for the heads up on the 24c sale. I finally got to the range with mine yesterday. In the past I have run thousands of rounds of federal auto match with almost no issues. Yesterday I had two or three per mag that would not kick the bolt back hard enough to reset the hammer. Changed to federal champion and all most cured the problem. Put 50 rds of Winchester 1300 fps through it with zero issues. I think the hammer is harder to cock than the original so it needs ammo with a little kick. This may change as the hammer face gets polished by the bolt. Other wise I have a good 2 1/2 pd. trigger. That may lighten up some with use. As far as the 15-22 not being a competition gun I guess myself and some others that shoot steel challenge didn't get that memo. One of the young guys that shoots in our club match normally wins beating $ 1500.00 10-22.

You're welcome perryhd. Hope it gets better for you. I've only used the CCI AR Tactical in mine and have experienced zero issues. The hammer is definitely more tensioned with the gray springs. Glad to hear it's competitive at your steel challenge shoots. Happy shooting and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day.

I'm liking my 24c more everyday. The gun club I'm in had the monthly steel challenge match to day. I'm to old and slow to compete against anyone but myself. I don't know how much the trigger had to do with it but I put a whipping on myself today. We shoot one stage called double tap where my time is normally 1.6 to 1.7 sec.and I've been trying all year to get under 1.5 sec. Today I shot three out of five strings under 1.5. One of the young guns shot three strings out of five under 1 sec with one of those strings at .89 sec. I'll never do that but i'm looking for 1.4.

Good deal. Which toggle springs did you go with?

I'm using the gray springs trying to get as lite a trigger as I can and still be safe and reliable.

Anyone use the JP spring kit ? I see reviews that say better trigger pull but reduced reliability in centerfire AR's. Would it be better reliability in a rimfire? Don't really want to drop $100+ on a trigger. What about a polish and spring kit?

I've read many more positives than negatives meaning light strikes was not an issue with most ammunition.

If you have the stones, etc, and knowledge on cleaning the hammer / trigger group I'd do that first or you can purchase a nice mil-spec for way less than a hundred. Perhaps even cheaper during the holidays.

Advanced Combat Trigger (ACT)

About the same price but currently out of stock. AT PSA the inventory goes up and down rapidly. PSA AR15/PA10 EPT - Enhanced Polished Fire Control Group - 507797

I had a JP trigger in my 15-22. It came with two hammer springs and I had to use the heaver of the two to prevent light strikes.

I just got my Hiperfire 243G and KNS pins install, Would they work with CCI SV? Because the hammer it feel need more force to pull it back, It's a blow back design, I'm shooting with Sparrow, want to stay subsonic.

Thanks.

Hi.

I use a CAN sometimes and sometimes not.

Subsonics work fine with the can and with Standard Velocity too.

SV also work fine without the CAN.

I run the 24c plus Gen2 Mod2 KNS pins.

IMHO, a great combo. Zero issues since I installed and I love it.

Once you have tried a few rounds of different stuff you’ll be fine.

Have faith in your choices and ability to install.

Shoot safe and have fun.

Rob.
