I have 2 M&P 10s that have experienced FTF and FTE. Never having had that with my M14 and new M1A I have been surprised to see this problem.

Elsewhere I see that such problems can be fixed by a thorough cleaning. Can someone describe the cleaning process to me, including what solvents to use.

Thanks

I have always used HOPPE'S number 9 cleaner, Hoppe's lube, and Hobbe's bore snakes oh and good ol' fashion elbow grease.

Use this brand because my father has for years and well he knows his stuff.

Work the action a lot, I noticed that my BCG has rubbed away some of the upper where the BCG moves. I worked the action like crazy before firing a single shot.

Grass week people, dry fire, learn your rifle. Have fun, these things are tools not glass trophies.

Thanks for the comments. I ordered a bunch of Eezox.

When in Vietnam in 1966-68 all we had was Lubriplatefor our Marine Corps M14s. Don't see that anymore. Is it still available, or is it just old tech?
