I see they have some models without the laser now.

So that got me to thinking. What other improvements have they made? Have they improved the firing pin so they stop breaking? How about the trigger pull? Is it under 14 pounds now?

These are all good questions, but unless an engineer at S&W, I doubt anyone here can provide an accurate answer that is not merely second-hand hearsay or speculation.

Don't know about the firing pins but the trigger pull is the same.

Its still terrible
I was lucky and got a Galloway Short trigger kit off ebay
I hope to install it this weekend

But on a good note
The M&P BG has always fired and never given me a FTF or FTE

I think….

those improvements are a lot to ask considering they are still struggling to get serrations and their name on some of the examples coming out recently.

I bought a 42 when they were first available and it isn't going to fit the small pocket pistol roll that I need it to. I've been having a hard time deciding between the Bodyguard and the P238. Seems like the bodyguard is the best deal going even if an after market trigger is needed. On the other hand, a soft shooter with a good trigger and night sights in the same sized package is very tempting even with the 1911 safety.

I hopelessly mentally locked on this topic.

My stock trigger feels like 8 lb smooth with a clean break. I,ve had revolvers with worse triggers. Being used to double action revolvers I find the stock trigger just fine. Great pocket carry in summer. Loving it so far, accurate and no trouble

I have not measured mine
But man the Pull is lonGGGGGGG on this little gun.
way to long of a break for my liking

My trigger i'm told is 10.5 lbs.

got one today.....traded my BG380 with laser in for the non-laser version. the trigger feels lighter ,I'm told it's 10.5 lbs. now and i believe it feels that....the old one w/laser had a horrible12-14 lb trigger.
the slide is stainless steel now w/melonite finish. i like the M&P subdued dark lettering w/no white outlines anymore
the old one was carbon steel w/blued finish/
the new one is a little heavier .....must be the stainless that =more weight?

I will say the MIM line is a quality control issue. Just saw 3 with no line and were engraved 380ACP on the hood. Yes, they were the new MP body guard. The trigger is why i will not buy one.

whats taht look like?

I don't under stand why they didn't make it a striker fire. They really missed the boat on this gun.
