I Googled it.....It looks nice and has good specs......The length of 11 inches is the only draw back for me.....If it is not too expensive I believe it would be a nice addition for your rifle......Double check the eye relief to insure that the front ring mount stays on the upper receiver rail and does not mount on the fore guard rail........Twisting the fore guard may move the POA.

This is only my opinion and may be diffrent from other opinions.

That's what one-piece cantilever mounts are for.

That was the only thing I didn't like about to was the length. Iam trying to find a good 3x9x---- scope that is shorter somewhere around 8" would be great

Deiseldad758.......That is why I bought the NcStar 3-9x42R ($80).....8 inches long...They carry a variety of "tactical scopes"...I won't pay $150+ for a 22 cal scope that I will only use for general paper and plinking......If it craps up in a couple of years I will look in Walmart hunting accessories and order another one.

P22 Nikon Scope

This is the same scope as the P22 BDC but is the P22 Nikoplex #8498 2-7X32mm. The BDC's now have a $30.00 rebate. This is mounted with the Nikon M223 mount.

i have a utg cqb 3-9x scope that illuminates in both red or green or neither. it comes with medium rings which i switched to a high set. also has covers that sometimes come a little loose. it was only $60 off amazon though and so far has worked well at the 25yds ive tested it. holds zero and is windage/elevation adjustable. battery is easy to change out. some have had issues with utg scopes but thats why i buy through amazon for their easy return process.

How is it at 100yrds ??? Need something I can use and see clear target at 100yrds. Mainly target shooting but some varmint hunting.

I haven't done paper yet, but I can pop 3 inch skeet clay pidgeons on an amazingly regular basis..........................People at the range shooting big bore stuff were coming over to see what I was shooting with......

When my
new glasses with the adjustment for old farts comes in, I will pop some paper.......................................I'm not trying to sell the things, but they are worth condisideration...........Google NcStar and look at their stuff...You may find something more suitable to your needs........They are reasonable, have great costomer service and have average shipping.....Do not get me wrong, the Nikon stuff is great...................

I like my P-22. Have it on my Ruger 10/22. (eotech on the 15-22)

Mine is 2-7x32. I can see the holes in my target at 100 yards. Makes a very good squirrel gun too.

I have the Prostaff 4x32 on my 10-22 rifle.

I like both scopes - very clear field of view, sharp images and made for rimfire.

If your primary interest is targets at 100 yards, then you should consider the 3-9x40 Prostaff

I looked at other medium priced scopes and liked the Nikons the best

Here is a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x40 mounted with rings. My plan is to eventually get a Quick Disconnect one piece mount, and a red dot and be able to easily switch between the two.

Well I think I have it narrowed down the Nikon p-22 or the leupold mark ar. Going to look at them both today. $150.00 scope vs a $300.00 plus scope.

Regarding length, 12 inches is about as short as you can make a variable power scope of that power. If you find a similar scope that's shorter, the difference in length will be negligible.

My NcStar 3-9X42 is eight inches long and has excellent focus adjustment......A lot of folks think that a scope less than a yard long and $900 minimum aren't worth anything.

+ 2 on the Prostaff 3-9x40 BDC 150. For the money, this is a fantastic scope. I shoot clays at 150 yards with mine. Clear glass and just a fun shooter. Even well after sundown you can pull in on varmits. Mine keeps impressing me every time I go out. Im a Leapold guy and since my purchase of the Nikon, Im now considering one for my LMT 5.56.

I think right know Iam leaning towards the leupold mark AR. My brother just got one for his .223 and it is pretty nice. Going to shoot with the leupold mark ar and the Nikon p-22 today. Iam coming home with one of them today.

I said "similar" scope. NC-Star makes **** scopes and mounts (and I have direct experience, as opposed to just repeating what I've heard). I'll never own any NC-Star equipment in my gun safe ever again.
