Sorry for your troubles OP. Our economy, and the ability for the average person to thrive in it, is a mess! Inflation and cost of goods and services have far outpaced earnings for many, many years now. This just continues to create an ever growing wealth gap, pushing people out of what we have traditionally considered "middle class." And the recent hockey stick (sudden and steep) increase in inflation is just the frosting on the cake. Sad situation for our country. Not sure how we are all going to fare with these challenges, but it's clear that our politicians are not aligned with the people's best interests, and continue to dig the hole deeper.
Interesting stories in this thread on people outliving their doctor's estimated-demise timeline. Just goes to show the power of perseverance and faith. Also goes to show how much/little we actually know about medicine and "science." I always say that what we don't know about science, and the world and universe is infinitely more than what we do know. We all think that we're living in "modern times," and that we are extremely "technologically advanced." Ha, they thought the same thing during ancient times, medieval times, the Renaissance, colonial times, etc. Humans are always full of hubris, I guess that's what keeps us evolving. Some day in the future our civilization, and technology, will be looked upon the same way we look at these old civilizations.
