We've been in our apartment for fourteen years in July. We took over as managers four years ago. It didn't conflict with our other gig, which is too detailed to talk about here. My only reservation about taking that responsibility was the fact I'd need to deal with all the other tenants. Well, it's turned out great! I like all our tenants and have become friends with most of them. We inherited a couple of problems, but they weeded themselves out.
But I'll single out my neighbors on either side of me. Sondra, on one side, has been here about eight or nine years now. She's 70ish, and just the nicest lady you could ever hope to meet. On the other side are Ryan and Mackenzie, and they've been here almost as long as us. They're late 30's, both hard workers, and I could trust them with anything I own. Ryan (we're on the same page politically) and I have discussed the possibility of a SHTF scenario, and what we would do in the event that happens. Ryan is one of the best hunters I've ever met, and the only person I know that I'd loan a gun. They, both Sondra and Ryan & Mackenzie, are by far the best next-door neighbors I've ever had.
