As promised, a report on the only gun show in Colorado. Saturday was a very scary day. Never saw a crowd like this people wise. Numbers allowed inside were strictly maintained. Never saw so many black folk. Usually see a dozen or so all weekend. Sat. must have been 5-6 hundred. Dreadlocks, tattoos, t-shirts emblazoned with F*** Trump, most used a language I couldn't understand. Never heard so much cussing, and they didn't care that there were little children there. I was called a racist white pig a couple of times because I wouldn't answer the F Trump shirters. Told them to get away from My table. Then came the antifa types tattooed from neck to ankle. None of these knew anything about guns but they bought close to 1000 AR type guns and ammo by the case. Any table with ammo was crowded and sold out of the days supply. Some even called their stores to bring more. Most of the dealers uncovered and loaded their carry guns and the promoters allowed it. None of the regular crowd, just a lot of scary, stupid people that had to be shown everything about the gun they were buying. I was thanking God that there was a 3 - 5 day backlog on background checks and nobody could pick up till at least Tuesday. Sunday the whole place was back to normal. Just the regular crowd. Those I talked to Sunday said they came by Sat and saw what was waiting outside and went home. I had blue steel and wood guns on My table and only sold reloading components that I had no use for. Took in a whopping $55. When the show closed Sunday @4PM there were still plenty of AR types for sale. Ended up being a 3000 gun backlog for background checks.

I believe it was the PE show at the Outlet Malls in Loveland, CO. They're about the only group doing shows on the north end. We were supposed to do that show but the boss went hunting instead...sounds like a good call to me...

I understand your concerns about language, but what t-shirt someone wears, a person's hairstyle, or what president and party they support has nothing to do with an individuals right to purchase or own a firearm.

You are right, however some that purchase firearms certainly do improve the anti's ability to trash all firearm owners. Some T-Shirts are just plain stupid and do nothing but reflect badly on all gun owners.

I refuse to accept the premise that any t-shirt you could wear would reflect on me either negatively or positively.

Would be interesting know the rejection rate on that many applications from an organized group of that type. I wonder how many will turn out to be from out of state or have dubious IDs.

One thing I like about the checks in NV is that the DPS does them. If you have any kind of unresolved business in the state, even parking tickets, you don't get your gun. Knowing how dismissive the fringe types are of such things, it stops a lot of undesirables IMHO.
