Terrific shipping destination! Based on the condition of the gun it doesn’t look like the Major used the NRM in any serious combat, but perhaps you can find some provenance on him.

My son found a fair amount of information on the Major. Apparently, he was a chemist working with the Chemical Warfare Service. I posted his findings.
