NOT HAPPY WITH LARRY!

I have had 10 round mags for m&p22 on backorder for 3+ months and am extreamely frustrated so see 12 rounders ON SALE. It would be nice if S&W would be successful in addressing the demand for the 10 rounders and getting them out to the distributors. Alternatively if anyone out there has removed the limiters and just has them laying around, maybe there is some help for me.

I can relate to the stringing along of shipping individual items with separate freight charges for each item shipped, as Midway is not the only company doing this. But to incur a small order fee just because they did not have all the items ordered, on top of the already outrageous shipping costs is too much IMO.

I have no problem buying local...when they have it...but at the present time in my locale, there are only 2 full service gun shops within 50 miles. They cannot get, let alone sell, .45acp components, let alone any other common use handgun calibers.
I check midway once a week...if they have what I want IN STOCK, I order it. Even at his crazy shipping it is cheaper than the gas to drive around trying to find it within 100 miles. At least that's my logic. But I have purchased over 1000 rounds of lead at one time and the shipping was cheaper, a lot cheaper.

My backordered MKII magazines are overdue & the .22LR that was due 12/13 is now 6/14. :(

I'm not particularly upset though.

Midway has always administered a vigorous pounding on shipping...

Please don't take what follows as putting anyone down or slamming anyone.

I've read this thread with interest as I've always had good service from Midway. It seems to me that some years ago Midway had free shipping and handling on all orders. Potterfield got so many complaints about his prices being so high compared to other mail order places (who charged shipping and handling) that he lowered the prices of all his products and began to charge shipping. Guess his customers got what they wanted.

As to the $3 charge for small orders take into account that most common carriers raised their charges some time ago because of the increase in the cost of diesel fuel. I know of two distributors who put a "fuel surcharge" on their shipping. Guess who pays that little charge. The small order charge is probably programed into the part of the computer that figures the shipping charges and adds that automatically.

If you don't like the way Midway does business then don't do business with them. Complaining to this forum is very soul satisfying I'm sure but does nothing to fix the problem. You might try Graf & Sons (grafs.com). They're located less than a hundred miles from Midway and their prices are competitive. I'm sure there are several other mail order companies around the country. Search around and try someone else.

Again, not slamming anyone just putting an additional 2 cents in. Also I'm not affiliated with Midway or Graf & Sons in any way. ;) ;)

There are other businesses who are even more frustrating, IMO. For example, Amazon will frequently have small items that I want at a good price, but they won't sell them directly...you have to "add them" to a larger purchase. I'd gladly pay a $3 fee to get the small item I wanted.

As I said, I like dealing with MidwayUSA. Where they are hands above many other retailers IMO is if you ever need to return something...they don't give you a hassle at all.
