Not losing any sleep over a possible assault weapons ban

I feel threatened by our government with their current language and little understanding of firearms. Who do they think they are to try and take away our rights to protect ourselves? I certainly have not given anyone the RIGHT to take away my RIGHTS. Feeling threatened is serious.
I could do so many things to so many people with things OTHER than guns. The UN with their REVOLVER and its twisted barrel tells all.
Criminals will have their guns and don't care because they get back out on the street. Our own government has let us down with this situation. Criminals are not scared of the laws. There is only one solution to the onslaught of violence in our country, and trying to use it as an excuse for more control over the people is a crime. The government doesn't want to take any responsibility because they can use crimes as their own weapon against the public.
Meanwhile, I used this as an excuse to buy a few more guns I have always wanted. May see me selling some S&Ws soon so I can get something to have long range fun with. Want to test your skills? Try a sub MOA at 1000 plus yards. How about 2000 yards? Bet you learn more about the earth you live in than you think you know already. Awareness
makes one feel in tune with nature. Notice things one has always taken for granted. Think I need a Sako TRG-42. Bet I can't find one with a hinged floorplate. Guess that means I'll have to buy those darned removable magazines, like the one on the Remington Model 597 that shoots .22 Long Rifle in that darned semi-auto configuration.
Then there's that GSG ATI AK-47 with the high capacity magazine that holds 24 rounds of .22 Long Rifle. Neat little AK-47. Says Kalashnikov right on the side. Don't want your children to ever enjoy shooting those .22s as they grow into the larger calibers? How many people are even thinking about their grandchildren and the world THEY will be living in?

What next ? A new 'law' requiring Jews to wear little yellow stars of David (1930s Nazi Germany) or Christians to wear little yellow crosses to identify themselves ? Would you be 'resigned' and apathetic about that too ?

There's a reason for the 2A. Your right to effectively defend yourself from predators - both unofficial and official - - is your right as a human being.
P.S. - - Do a little research on the National Defense Authorization Act. There are provisions in it which give the executive dept the authority to imprison or even kill people without formal charges or a trial. Is this what we've allowed America to become out of our apathy ?

So tell me, at what point do you take a stand and say enough. How many rights do are you willing to loose? How many portions of existing rights are you willing to loose? How much freedom are you willing to sacrifice. Just how compliant and inconvenienced do you have to get? Please tell me Sir what limits do you insist the Government follow?

Your attitude astounds me! This ban has nothing to do about crime and everything to do about control. How can you not get involved? I live in NY and we certainly have more than our share of anti freedom office holders. I still write to them and let them know what I expect and how I vote. Don't roll over we can make a difference. We must make a difference.

This proposed ban can make your guns 'worthless'. You would not be able to sell, trade or even 'will' your guns to anyone. When you die they will be turned in for destruction. This only applies to weapons on the 'banned' list that may have to be 'registered' and 'taxed'. They want to stop online ammo sales too. All they have to do is 'regulate' ammo sales and your guns would become a big paper weight. Join the NRA and write you congressman TODAY! Thanks
