Novak sight replacement??

I'm right on the edge and ready to buy a Smith 1911, 108282 that has a Novak rear sight,(I believe that is stock, correct me if I'm wrong.) Is there a replacement sight that will drop in without any machining that will allow me to adjust wind-age and elevation? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

I have the same model you have. I just sent my slide to Novaks to have their adjustable rear sight installed. The Novak adjustable rear sits a little higher than the factory fixed so a taller front sight has to be installed. I had them install one of their red fiber optic front sights. Check out Novak on the web for pricing and instructions. They are great to deal with and it took less than 2 weeks including shipping to get my slide back.
