Now I really know that I am getting OLD.

I take a daily blood pressure med., and eat aspirin like candy for lower back pain. So any little cut or bruise bleeds like crazy. My bald head usually wears a band-aide somewhere. In my garage/workshop, I'm constantly banging my head on something. So every corner, edge, shelf, or hanging tool has a name ( if ya know what I mean :p ).

Whenever I walk through a door or out a door or down the hall I can't help but bang my elbows on something and wind up with bruises on them. My skin has gotten so thin and easy to tear I can just slightly scrape something and I'm bleeding. Beats anything I have ever seen. I take 2 blood thinners. I took Plavix and a baby aspirin once a day for the last 12 months and now my doctor has taken me off the Plavix just this last week but I will take the baby aspirin from now on. Maybe some of the bruising and bleeding will slow down a little. Growing old comes with lots of changes in our lives, don't it.

I don't take blood thinners or aspirin but everything I touch causes me too turn purple or bleed like a stuck hog. When I was young I could handle a steel winch line with bare hands but now I need gloves to handle cotton rope.
I can remember thinking that when the going gets tough the tough get going. Now I think when the going gets tough the intelligent quit. Larry

You need to get a hat....................

or at least a "Marlon Brando" dock cap.

I was a mechanic for 42 years. A lifetime of bumps, cuts and scrapes. I'm pretty much dead from the elbows down. Don't feel much of anything on my lower arms. When I was working, somebody would say "Hey man, you're bleeding." I'd have to look myself over to find out where.
Now in retirement, thin skinned and take a baby aspirin every day. I find myself bleeding or a fresh new dark purple bruise and have no idea what I did to get it.
The mysteries of growing older.

No blood thinner or much else. MY skin will tear with any good drag on it and I get bruises for almost nothing. Dr said old peoples skin. She laughed when I asked how I got that.

Well now, I welcome my above friends to "The Old Buggers Club." You are now charter members.
Old 44 Guy;
I respectfully suggest that you research the term "bugger". The term might curtail the membership, of your new club.

Or maybe not...

My gf (born in Australia, now teaching in WA) got some startled looks from her students when something went wrong with some piece of equipment in the classroom or the lab and muttered, "Buggah!".

I have heard of people using super glue on small incisions but never thought much about it. A month ago I had a hernia surgery that I'd been putting off for 10+ years, but it got too uncomfortable. Surgeon cut about a 4-5 inch slit, did his work, and closed the incision with super glue. After abut 10 days the super glue came off and you can hardly see the scar. Incidentally, had the other side done yesterday, same procedure and incision closed with super glue. BTW, super glue was my least problem, the pain is almost unbearable, seems like every muscle in my body is tied into this area, ha.

I had to have a kidney removed 4 years ago. I had about 4 small incisions for laparoscopic instruments plus about a 6" vertical incision centered roughly on my navel. All closed with glue, and one of the quickest and most comfortable recoveries from surgery I have ever had.

^ Brilliant future when she transfers to HR.^

Kidney failure is a real treat, I can tell you. I wish I could hurry up and get the transplant done, but just the screening is a major chore.

I'm around a lot of barbed wire, so I bleed a lot - until the doctor orders a blood test, then nobody can find a vein. They need to just follow me around for a few minutes, and they'll have their three viles.

I'm 61 with thin skin and keep first aid kit in my pickup and Freightliner. Few weeks ago scraped my right hand , twice on my left and big scrape on my arm that bled through large bandage . Also scraped my leg on truck step Dang it !

Like an old girlfriend said when I mentioned that I was getting old.
" Getting old? You are old"
Ironically, we with thin skin need to develop thick skin.
I did say old girlfriend, right?
