For years I have been catching some mild heat from fellow shooter and reloading friends for reloading the 7.62X39. They all said "why reload when the stuff is so cheap" and for a while it was but now look at it. I have a pretty good stock of brass and bullets left and now I can still shoot my AK and SKS with the reloadable stuff and save my stash of factory stuff for when the zombies come. Who else reloads the 7.62X39?

I still see it for sale from time to time. That's the only rifle cartrdige I don't load for still. I just bought some steel case Herters not a week or two ago since it was such a cheap deal.

I don't own anything in the ruskie chambering now, but I have and do load for them. I still have components myself.

I do not but, then again, I don't have anything that shoots it anymore. That being said, if you DO have something that shoots ANY caliber, why aren't you reloading for it?

And, you should have been long before NOW! ;)

9mm guys say the same thing all of the time and, you want to say: "How's that working for you now?" And walk away knowing that you can make all you want, when you want, in the load and configuration you want, whenever you want.....

You want to follow that up with a hearty: DUR! too! hahaha

I load mine with the Lee 155 gr and a custom 118 gr flat point. I have never bought jacket bullets for my SKS or Handi Rifle.

I do and have done so for years. I can't recall exactly what I load without looking at my records but I believe it uses the Sierra 110 gr HP bullet and 4198 powder. It goes in a Mini-30 and is notably more accurate than the imported junk, but of course it costs a lot more too. It's all what you want. My experience with the imported stuff in the Ruger has been bad. Goes bang - about half the time. That's about all. :mad:

I am guilty:mad::(

Was just thinking about it today. Should have, would have, could have.:(

I have ammo but would like to reload for it. I have a bunch of 110gr, 30 cal bullets I guess I could use but no brass.

I was at a public range a few years back, and 2 weeks in a row, somebody left several hundred white box Winchester brass on the ground. So I picked up over 1000 reloadable brass. The state ranger is very happy with me for taking such good care of the range. I had been reloading the same PMC brass for years. Between split necks and looses I was thinking of giving up on reloading M43 rounds. Ivan
