What the...? I don't understand why anyone would go to South Beach anyway, but you'd think you could at least have a vacation without some mope putting slugs into you. Prayers for his recovery.

Cop or not, I am absolutely mortified when anyone comes here on holiday and winds up in a horror story. We need positive waves always, tourism is half our economy. You'd think the knuckle draggin crackheads would be asleep that early in the day. Hope he makes it. Joe

Too many LEO's being shot on duty; vacation is worse....... prayers to him and his family.
 
prayers for the detective and his family. also a warning for the shooter you can run but you can't hide you will be found and you will be punished.

I hope he makes a full recovery. If it weren't for LEOSA, he would have been defense less.

It's a shame that anyone with a CCL cannot carry throughout the US.

Not to hijack the thread, but Florida honors the permits of 34 or 35 other states. If a non LEO citizen of NY has to be defenseless in Florida, it is the fault of the State of New York and no one else.

I carry under LEOSA and can do so in all 50 States. What I was trying to say is I wish that benefit was accorded to all Americans.

Not correct at all. It would be the fault of the NY resident.

A citizen of NY can get a non-resident concealed weapons permit from FL and carry in whatever states honor the FL permit. However they cannot carry in NY.
 
I'm kind of new to the LIKES and DISLIKES deal. That said, I see I'm the only one who gave Mike a LIKE on this thread. I hope no one thinks I LIKE that the officer was shot, I simply LIKE that Mike posted this so we can pray for the Officer and his family. It has been on my mind all night.
