OFFICIAL (IN-STOCK) 15-22 Magazines

prices

Like I stated, Midway had the S&W 10 round long mags in stock for $19.95. So there are other mags available RIGHT NOW at non astronomical prices.

While it's great that 44Mag has mags for sale and obviously people are purchasing them, the free market works both ways.

44Mag can choose to sell their products at whatever they feel they can sell them for and I as a consumer can choose not to purchase from them and remember when things return to "normal" who maintained their prices, who didn't, and who I will choose to continue to do business with.

Same goes for ammo. I've been able to add THOUSANDS of round of ammo at .04 a round. Believe me, if or when things return to normal, I'll remember those selling ammo at .10 a round or higher and I will choose not to do business with them either.

Isn't the FREE market wonderful?

Well said.

Big ditto here. I got great prices from 44mag before the frenzy. With s and w prices its pretty clear what they are doing. I hope not too many folks are buying.... its a real shame.

Same here also... I bought quite a bit of stuff from them pre-frenzy. I feel betrayed with what they are doing.

Don't ever plan on even looking at their site again.

If so, please start a thread, or reply to one of the existing ones, where anyone can RIGHT NOW purchase OEM magazines. No offense, but I think you are in a dream world. Yes, OEM magazines pop up for a few minutes, here & there, but unless you are extremely lucky or can spend all day on a computer, most will not have access to cheap magazines.

As you said, and the key word is HAD, Midway had them for just a short time. I know, I picked up 2 of them. I think it is wonderful that we have the options. We can wait for folks like Midway to offer up the items at normal pricing or, depending on need and finances, can purchase some immediately. Not unlike the hunt for guns & ammo. That is a free market economy. I'm simply saying any company has a right to sell at what they wish & should be able to do so without fear of attack. We consumers don't need to attack or try to harm a business. We just need to move on & pick a competitor if we find the pricing excessive. The free market will either reward or punish the company.

To me this is analogous to labor unions. As a business owner, I don't understand a strike. Why try to harm a business if you don't think you are paid enough? If you feel that way... move on & get another job. If there are no other jobs, be thankful for what you have. I mean heck, because of this attitude I can't get a danged Twinkie anymore. Folks didn't like their pay so they shut down the business. Maybe I'm too old or just maybe I'm too country, but that seems un-American to me. IMO, some folks take the right to protest too far.

A dream world?

More like a nightmare.

You are correct that 44Mag still has mags still available at this moment. IMO, it's only because of the price that they are still available.

Maybe you're seeing that as a good thing? With the price being so high, the stock is lasting longer and that affords those willing to spend that price a larger window of opportunity?

In my eyes, it looks to me that even in this insane market, most people are passing on the "opportunity" Mag44 is providing.

I don't spend all day online hunting, I log on from time to time to kill a few minutes. The 10 round longs I purchased were listed right here in the forum and if I remember correctly, they were available for 2 days.

I too love the fact that we have options. I love the fact that I have the option to spend my hard earned money how and where I see fit.

As I stated, I whole heartedly agree that 44Mag has the right to charge whatever they wish for their merchandise.

It all goes back to that FREE market we both love so much. It's a two way street and that's what makes it FREE. It's an important aspect of the FREE market I think you're overlooking.

I have the right to determine whether or not the price an item is offered at is reasonable, I have the right to determine whether or not I as the consumer am being taken advantage of, and I have the right to choose whether or not to continue to do business with that vendor.

The right of the customer to buy or not buy is what keeps the market in check and keeps prices from being at these astronomical levels at all times.

I'm simply exercising my rights in the FREE market. To insinuate that by doing so I am trying to be punitive is ridiculous.

I think some folks are doing more. They are making negative comments in a public forum... just about pricing. That has nothing to do with the free market. In a free market you "vote" with your wallet... you don't attempt to do harm to a business just because you don't agree with their pricing. That is why I and others here are saying, if you don't like the price, then look elsewhere. Don't give them your business.

Thanks for the heads up but I'd just keep an eye on Tactical Vantage. I scored 3 32 round magazines for the price that 44mag charges for 1 25 round.

They might look wonky but.... 96 Rounds VS 1x 25 round magazine... Talk about more bang for your buck!

And again, I agree.

As you quoted my post, I took it as you were directing your comments at me as an example.

How dare some of you voice your opinion about the dislike of a price on a certain product.

I mean,if the company has the "right" to price their product the way they want, doesn't that same right flow over to people on this board who want to voice their displeasure?

I simply have to SMH at some the posts on here. Wow.

Dang It :( Saw your post about a minute after you posted it, and clicked the link. My internet connection went flakey and when it straightened itself out they were gone. Stupid computer

Yeah, missed out but I got my 2x long body 10 rounders from Midway a few minutes ago ordered on 4/11!!! I've got 3 magazines now so that should be good.

I do want to pick up 1 or 2 10 round short mag though.

Smiling Bob... looks like stocks are starting to show back up though finally, so just keeping looking at your eventually get one or two. Don't settle for gougers like 44mag.com though.

Your 100% right.

Because we are upset at a company taking advantage of the current situation where others are not!

Yeah, we have the right to shop else ware, but we also have the RIGHT to express our frustrations! This is America the last time I checked!!

Midway
Primary Arms
Manventure

Those are just three off the top of my head that have offered 15-22 magazines since the frenzy that have not really raised their prices (that I am aware of).

Before all this started, you could get a 25 round 15-22 from 44mag for $16.99!!

Almost a 400% increase!

And don't tell me your costs have gone up on them (like they stated on ARFCOM industry forum). You think those other companies are going to take a loss on selling what they know is a fast selling and hard to get item?? NO WAY!! I seriously doubt the 15-22 magazines have gone up much at all, if any since all this started. I see it as a company wanting to stay loyal to their customers so they can KEEP them for future business.

Yeah, I am pissed at them, they are in the same boat as CTD in my eyes.

This is a PUBLIC FORUM just like you said!

I have the right to type my displeasure with a company that I feel is trying to take advantage of customers.

Especially since you see that people are now ordering direct from S&W and getting the 25 rounders fairly quickly

Yes a good analogy is a comparison to CTD. This isn't some crazy bidding war on gunbroker...... This is a legit business(?) charging almost 70 dollars for these???

I will find other places to bring my business to and I hope every one else remembers who kept prices reasonable and those that piled on

Don't hold your breath on your order. Looking at their other items I see they list NOTHING as out of stock to include FDE and OD pmags that I haven't seen for sale anywhere in many months.

I got an email today from them and they are currently out of stock on backorder and gave me the option to cancel the order.
