Something I seen on another site about Lohman arms

"I placed an order with Lohman Arms 1/24/13. They called on 2/9/13 and said items were in and would ship. They called again on 2/23/13 and said I could avoid credit card charges of 3% if I would pay by e-check. Money left the bank on 2/25/13. It is now 3/4/13 and no order and they are not answering calls or returning messages left. No response to emails either. Have any of y'all heard anything? Right now, i would say buyer beware.

UPDATE: Sadly, my suspicions were dead on. Fearing I could be wrong, I went ahead and put several bricks in my shopping cart (sure was fun fooling myself into thinking I was going to get all that at those prices!) but upon checkout they break the truth to you: Everything is sold out and they are behind on updating their inventory quotes but they'll take your CC# and put you on backorder until they get ammo. whoopee. We can do that anywhere. Oh well.

Not to mention their shipping prices are astronomical... $25.00 for shipping to Louisiana. That's bullcrap!

Well went to wal mart this am bcuz last nite it showed 22lr and 9mm in stock and they stock at 7am so I thought. I checked this morning and it showed oos but I went anyway. They were oos it disappeared some how in the middle of the night. Our wm has been spot on with what the Internet shows every time. I did score some 9mm though and they still had several left got 3 100 rd boxes at .022 a rd.

just wanted to say some walmart stores sell ammunition at night time had got three boxes of Winchester 555 packs for 23.95 in pa. at 2:30 am

Walmart. After shunning the drive around on my own nickle, I had a business trip that made me drive thr width of MA yesterday. Let the co pay my gas leave an hour early and my experiment was on. Getting no useful/reliable (even any - they don't answer lots of times) I decided to hit stores that showed inventory for eitber 22lr or 223. Net is I hit 5 total "scored" at 2 (Mid day mind you) 150 rounds remy 223 and 675 22lr yellow jackets (looks like sketch ammo, noticed a couple loose bullets). Hit an lgs on way home (late) for 100lr winchesters and 100 rnds of 9mm fmc practice rounds. All at good prices (not my gas). Net is, not sure the time is worth it. Callings lgs while out on other business seems most reliable. Walmart is lottery unless you stake it out or have contacts.

Think I will stick to internet (selectively pick off deals I can get into). I think that is worth the shipping premium for me. Good luck.

Seems the fever is building as refected in average $ going up. Be patient and check some of the sites directly. I picked up on order Natchez 2 weeks ago on a random refresh of their site. I have got a couple through this site, but it is getting harder. I have to work, so all hit and miss for me.

I don't think that's the case as I have gotten in on a few deals through the links and they have been helpful to me. I am about done buying now so I will continue to post links when I see something. You may want to keep a midway page, Palmetto state armory, target sports USA page and gunbot open. I have found some sometimes through those pages that don't show up on gunbot and midway in particular if it's "mixed availability" it doesn't show up. You will get some at fair prices through those sites I am sure. Also, you may want to be logged in to speed up the process.

Completely agree. I still keep this forum bookmarked, but really am only refreshing the actual retailer websites regularly. Add Natchez to that list, I think they've been good with keeping their website up to date, and i've scored there twice this past week.

Dude, I have scored 1500 rounds per week for the past 3 weeks ONLY because of this thread. So much 22lr ammo that I am now posting things I find without ordering. I have also learned a lot about online distributors of ammo, who to boycott when this is over and who to be loyal to. IMHO, this thread is fantastic. Keep trying!
