This along with optimizing ur internet speed really helps give u that tiny edge once u happen upon an ammo feeding frenzy.
I have over 70% succcess once I hit a "live" sale.Got my 1st mail order ammo delivery of 500 rnd brick from MidWay yest.
Saved gallons of gas looking @ local GS

Y'all were right - I was able to place an order. Had to be very patient and keep reloading (no pun intended) pages that failed. $0.08 per round shipped - not bad! However, I got this after my order was accepted:

I stop by my local bait and tackle shop today to pick up some Trilene XL in preparation for Trout season and saw some 22 CCI snake shot behind the counter. I asked the owner if he has any 22lr and he said he had 10 bricks of Winchester Dynapoint but nobody ever bought any..$14 a brick...best $140 I ever spent!
Good score! I once shot a box of that I got from Dicks and worked well.
DesertLegend I have all odds against me. Slow hughsnet internet (only option here) nothing but walmart with in an hour and next to an army base where our soldiers feed on any stock. No gander mountain or basspro that is closer 2 hours. One Dick's under 2 hrs. no other LGS shops that have had any ammo in a month and a half. I wish I could save credit card info on these sites to speed things up.

Nice score this AM at the Local Gander Mt. 200 CCI mini Mags 36gr CPHP,

I missed out on the JG. like everyone else. Got it in the cart, but could not check out. Lets waste my lunch to run to Walmart. Nothing like getting told they have nothing yet again...
8up - I have lots of Close Wm's and 2 Dick's w/in and hour, but no LGS, Basspro, Gander, or Cabelas. And even with a 50 mb internet connection, I cannot get to the servers. So it is not all about your speed. The servers on the other end are just too flooded to respond. And having stores only means you have more places to go be told they just sold the last box.
But there is hope. Walmart seems to be getting stuff more frequently, so stick to it. The hoarders have to run out of cash at some point....

My Walmart puts a sign up every morning that says "All received ammo has been stocked" after they stock it. The last few days they are starting to get more and more unfortunatly its all 9mm, .45 and .380 pistol ammo. This morning when I started towards the cabinet I started to get a hard on seeing 4 rows stacked 2 high of CCI only to be let down when I saw it was all maxi-mags!
