Walmart

The way I see it when we talk about Walmart were offering tips on how to score ammo at Walmart, the ones complaining are the guys that haven't been able to find any in their WM I guarantee u guys that if they were finding ammo they wouldn't be complaining, this goes to the moderator too, thanks to this site I've been able to score over 5,000 rounds in 3 days by following the tips I've been reading here and a few links so thanks guys!!!!!

I agree, just because someone is not posting a direct link to some ammo site does not mean that the info they are sharing is worthless. These walmart strategies and other sites proceedures for ordering like cabelas and such while not links directly to ammo are giving great advice and insight on how to get ammo from these stores when no one else can seem to be able get any. I agree lets stop bitching and complaining but lets NOT stop these good suggestions and strategies.

First off I'd like to thank the members of this forum for providing me with the info to pick up close to 2k rounds. The walmart app has worked great and the midway and bass pro deals were great too. Now onto what I've discovered outside of info on this thread:

1) Gunbot is not a reliable source and is probably missing a ton of stuff. Case in point, early Sunday morning Cabelas had 22 wmr on its site and during the hour I was awake and keeping track it never showed on the gunbot site.

2) If you just leave the Cabelas rimfire section open in your browser you can refresh here and there and check availability. By my calculations stock will show as available there if they've added it before it shows on the ammunition page. Do to the fluctuations in their rimfire sales they often remove the rimfire seubsection of the ammunition section if they're not selling any rimfire. There seems to be a lag between their adding new rimfire ammo and their updating of the ammo section to show rimfire as available. I hope that made sense, I'm typing on a tiny phone lol.

3) I believe the walmart app is spot on and any employee telling you otherwise is an idiot or is attempting to keep customers out of the loop. The worlds largest retailer is successful because of their incredible inventory system. The app is not a fluke, it works by design. Additionally Id like to note that policies seem to vary widely at walmart. A couple weeks back my local walmart in the phoenix area had a 3 box limit. They've now changed it to 3 total boxes and not more than 1 of 1 caliber.

Lastly id like to again thank this forum specifically for this thread but also for great overall S&W knowledge which I've used to do my due diligence for several guns. Moderators should take note this thread is driving a lot of traffic to the site and percieved snarkiness is a quick way to turn off potential forum members.

You all are forgetting what an online forum is and how it operates. It's information specific. People start threads seeking a specific answer or to provide specific information as they relate to the threads title. This thread, for instance, is about finding ammo and nothing else. Each time you post something that doesn't relate to the topic it dilutes the information and inhibits others ability to quickly find the information they need. Yes, the Walmart info is helpful. Want to share it? Start your own thread. Stay on topic and the community, as a whole, will be better served.
