Ammo - local to you

Anyone have luck with calling around to the Walmarts, Meijers (Ohio), Dick's? I can get a few hundred rounds of 22LR here and there. Driving across Dayton to scrape up 300 rounds was enough trouble. This forum, and the links are way more efficient and helpful. Thanks for all your help. I will post links as I find them.

Been watching this thing for a few days and tried to get the fed with the can. Tried and tried whilst some were getting it and cant figure that whole thing out. Oh well, found something after searching for about 20hrs or so between yesterday and today and hope it helps so here ya go. Oh and if anyone is looking for pmags A lot and i mean A LOt were shipped out over the last few weeks so if you had backorders they will be filled as well as if you look around there are some up online for retail... Like 14.20 a piece. Backordered mine from DSG ARMS about a month ago and got them today http://dsgarms.com/ProductInfo/MAG557-BLK.aspx

Here is the .22 LR link sorry to get off subject but figured some might appreciate the info.

Watch this link closely, They add there ammo every night at around 11pm PST, I was able to pickup a few bricks in the past week

Rimfire Ammunition - Sportsman's Warehouse

Sure enough at 2300hrs about 3 different Remington styles showed in stock and most were sold out again by 2330hrs. As much as I want ammo, Remington isn't my preferred brand. I'll certainly watch this link again and hopefully something more my style opens up. Thanks for the link.

Hey All,

I just ordered from the Murphy's site, seems to have worked?

I don't know if the Winchester 555 box is any good, seems as good as any other... 30bucks for a box plus $5 shipping, not 2012 prices but not too shabby...

Just wanted to pop in here, been a lurker for ages.

For what it's worth, for the benefit of all my fellow members, please do some due dilligence when purchasing ammo online. Take a moment to check out the website you're purchasing from, use a online service like Scamadviser.com | check a website for risk | check if dodgey | check is a website s |check website is fake or a scam

Virtually anyone with nefarious intent can set up a website to take advantage of the desperate situation with the shortage in ammunition.

For instance, as mentioned earlier in this thread, sublimehunting has plenty of ammo but checks out terribly. Matter of fact, nobody from registars, hosts or anyone connected is vouching for them, I have not got a response from them directly either.

While it looks good, plenty of ammo, thank goodness the shipping it silly stupid, hopefully nobody has got taken by them or any of the newer companies trying to take advantage of the situation.

Ok, public service announcement done, now back to the ammo search! Thanks for having me on the team, I'm addicted to the ammo hunt!

Ordered a few from Murphy's also.

Found the site and ordered 3 boxes. Is Murphys a good site? They seem to have a lot. Do they show non existing stock? If legit, 3 boxes shipped is 6.8 a round. Not the best but not bad either. My limit is 9 cents.

Greetings All,
Thanks for all your hard work & sharp eyes.
Read Murphy's intro page.
They are expecting it in, but don't have it yet.
Hopefully they get it in and we get some ammo.
He says you will not be charged until it ships.
It at least sounds legit.
Your CC company should protect you in any event.

I was in Dayton a week and half ago...used the WalMart App and it said there was Win 525s in at Xenia - went up around 1200 on Easter and they were OOS and was told they put it out at 0700 when they start the day. However, he looked for me and brought out a case of 525s and a case of Fed 9mm 100rd bxs. Got one of each as that's all they allowed. Also went to Dayton Armory in Beavercreek and scored 100rds CCI at .11 pr, but since I got my 15-22 2 months ago and its collecting dust had to snag it...now if I wasn't stationed in DC and could have put it in my carry on for the flight back. So, ammo still in Dayton, and a dusty 15-22 still in Alexandria...

I would recommend going to scamadvisor.com before ordering - "Analysis Details:-
Although this website appears to be based in United States there are other countries involved and you should review this information carefully and decide if it is as you expect. This webite is very new , and as such doesn't have an online reputation yet. As with all new businesses , we suggest that you take care and if necessary get in contact with the owners before placing an order of value."

The domain is registered to a P.O. Box in CA and if you google the address and phone number, the results aren't good.

Lastly, the person who posted the link joined the forum yesterday and has only one (1) post. Call me paranoid, but I think ordering is dangerous. Even if your bank covers it if it turns out to be fraudulent, the scammers still have your personal information and credit card info. Also, most reputable companies will not charge your card until they ship because if you cancel an order, they have to pay the processing company a refund fee.

I also hope this is a ''good site''-- it appears to be. The 555 boxes are still in stock, I just ordered 3.. They also are showing 1,000 rnd. boxes of X193 scheduled to be in stock 4-17,,$479,, so I pre-ordered one of those also.

I don't really care. If they are not legit and charge my care, it will be killed and removed. Simple as that. They don't have my social security number. They have a name and address which you can get a million on line and a card that I can have killed the second I see activity that is not mine.
Fraudulent activity is why I have and use a CC in the first place.
