OFFICIAL Using Wal-Mart App/Website

scored 3 555 packs of winchester 22 tonight they got one case of 10 boxes was 3rd in line

OMG finding that in stock in my area would be like winning the superbowl.

I made my last round tonight for 9mm. 5 hours and 150 miles, hit 5 supercenters Found a bunch of 9mm Winchester white box 100 value packs, 9mm Federal 100 value packs on the shelves, but only seen 6 boxes of 40 and 6 boxes of 45...No 22LR whatsoever.

Every place I went to there were people carrying double bags full of ammo out the doors as I went in, and people hanging all around the sporting goods desks texting to friends and checking stock online.

Like to think things would be settling down here soon but I don't think so.

Used my WM app to pick up the last 2 Win 555 packs and a box of 223 today at my local Wally World.

Hope to pick up 3 more 555 packs in the AM.

Used it last week to score score nearly 2500 rounds.

I will never get caught short on ammo again in my lifetime!

New member here but I have a request for everyone.
Please at some time go into the Walmart phone app and rate it and provide feedback for it. Ask in the feedback for an increase in the ammunition listed and an increase in the radius of stores listed in your areas. I said that there is only a tiny tiny fraction of the ammunition listed that walmart carries all the time. If enough of us do this we might see some updates in the inventory listings.
Thanks.

I've owned my new AR for over a month now and still cannot find any ammo for it. Everyone is sold out, and ever Walmart within 50 miles has NOT received a single round in that time.

I don't know why some Walmarts get ammo while others don't.

Employees at my local store are buying the ammunition and selling it on the side.

Yea, last night at one of the stores I questioned them where the Federal 9mm listed in stock was and they said they didn't have any. The Mrs. flat out asked them if they were keeping ammo for themselves and the guy at the register shrugged his shoulders smiled at her and nodded his head...

Was at the local Wal-Mart last weekend and noticed behind the counter on one of the shelves under the register 2 big boxes labeled federal .223. I asked the guy that was there about it and he said there was something wrong with it and he couldn't sell it. Went to the front and had a little conversation with the manager on duty. Long story short, I walked away with 3 100 round bulk packs and was told that disciplinary action will be taken against the guy. If it's in the store it's for sale, and Wal-Mart has a strict policy about under-stocking, according to the manager.

Usual four of us at local WalMart Saturday morning at 6:45am. App showed Winchester 555 pks as in stock the evening before so we knew they would bring them out at 7:00am. Sporting goods dept. manager(same one who is there every day) came out at 7:00 and said they didn't get any ammo on their truck that night. I showed him my phone showing they did and he said sorry didn't have any. We left the area and congregated outside the store. Not ten minutes later, a well to do member of our small community comes out with a sack full of Winchester 555 pks. Went back in talked to store manager. She did about 45 minutes of checking and said the dept. manager told her he just happened to find a ten 555 pks of 22lr on sombody elses pallet of stock. Yeah right!!! I will contact corporate WalMart Monday.

The one time I was away from the app tonight our local wal mart gets in 2 1000 round boxes of M22 long rifle.

Had to fix my mothers furnace, came home and checked the app....Limited Stock....Called and checked and they had just sold them...

Walmart app agony of defeat...

On their website, you have can it email you and alert you when said product is in stock. Let's see how good it works. There's a store kinda far from me that a friend of mine goes to for me, always says the stuff is in stock, he gets there, and they turn him away, or tell him a guy with like 7 people buy up all the ammo. Honestly, the whole hoarding thing is a little stupid. I understand having 500-1000rds. But when you start going past that, you're just being a jerk to new gun owners like myself, who can't even use the gun I bought, because I can't shoot it. I have some Self-Defense ammo, but that's too expensive to fire at the ranges, and a few ranges around here don't want you shooting that. If anyone here in Metro Detroit wouldn't mind throwing a young, new gun owner a bone and would be willing to sell me a box or two, I would appreciate it! PM me!

I think that feature has been disabled.

I have tried unsuccessfully for months to get an email from WalMart on numorouse types of ammo to o avail.

So I went on Walmart.com today. It looks like they disabled the function to find ammo. It just says that data is not available. I have not tried out the app yet. I hope this is just temporary.

Seems to depend upon what ammunition you try to check. I have direct links for Federal 9mm and Winchester 22lr setup. The 9mm web pages say "Store information not available" while the 22lr web pages have store information but it is from 3/24/13. It does appear that Walmart is making it harder to know where the ammunition is in stock.

I'm happy for all of you that are able to score. Here's my story....since downloading the app on an iphone, two stores in the area have shown Winchester 22 from in stock to limited stock to mostly out of stock. EVERY time the app has said in stock, I've walked away with nothing, regardless of who I spoke to. Saturday morning I stopped at the customer service counter, verified 2 boxes of "limited stock" Winchester M-22 were in stock. Found an assistant manager who went to the back and returned "couldn't find any". I really hate to say it but the app has NEVER produced any in stock for me. Hope the rest of you have better luck! Now, I feel better!

Same here with the M22. Since I missed it the other night at my local store it has showed up in stock and limited stock at 2 different stores and when I call they say they don't have anything...

Most likely there are some Walmart employees that have M22 in stock now....
