Been on the hunt for one of these in shooter condition for quite a while, and lo and behold, this popped up on Armslist recently. I've only bought one other gun on there, and of all the sites, it's the one that seems to be potentially the diciest, but the seller was registered and turned out to be a great guy with a fine track record on other sites, so we did the deal.

Thanks for the help with valuation so I could pass it along to "my friend." Especially you, 18DAI: you were smack dab right on the money for this and three mags. Seller had already set his price, and your opinion just confirmed it was correct.

This'll take the place of a well-loved but now bested 4566 non-TSW that has been filling that role as my home defense gun. Both are great pistols, but to me, the WVSP is by far the best of the 45xx breed. There were only about 750 to 800 of them, specially produced when the agency declined to switch to the M&P guns and was threatening to go to Glocks. Everything you could want in a mid-sized 45ACP handgun without jumping up to the price points of the Shorty 45, 45 Recon, CQB, and similar 945 models. I plan to keep this a long, long time.

Only drawback is that it has the "trigger click" in SA, like so many Third Gen S&Ws develop. That's OK though: BMCM is my go-to guy for correcting that issue, which he did on my other 4566, and while it's apart, he smooths up the trigger as well. Can't wait to get it to the range after he works his magic.

She sure is purdy ! And you're right , Bill will take care of it . I'm starting to wonder if we should have been talking about how good he is . He's up to his elbows in guns , it's taking longer to get him to tackle a project . But , he's worth the wait . I wouldn't let anyone else touch my guns .
