Old gunrag S&W 4516 articles

I was discussing compact 45s at work yesterday with some fellows. They said that back in the 80s and 90s the gunrags loved the 4516 and many articles were written on it.

I bought a few gunrags back then, but don't recall seeing anything. Anyone have any of the old copies lying around of S&W 4516 tests or reviews they could post here, or perhaps Email me a copy? Thanks! Regards 18DAI

I thought I had a 4516 article in my file. Turns out it only mentions the 4516 but is more about the 4566TSW.

It'll have to get you by until others chime in.....

Well if my memory doesn't fail me(does happen more and more as I grow older)I recall one such article,t'was from Guns and Ammo if I remember correctly,and the author(sorry,don't push it too far,I might collapse from the effort of rememberin')was all praise about it.If I remember correctly,he compared it's accuracy to that of a Gold Cup.
But i've not seen too many more gun articles about it!

Seriously,the thing looked like a stainless model 59 on steroids.But this article was the closest I ever got from a real one.Maybe I'm wrong.But the thing was never popular in my neck of the woods.
