Once again SPP

As I mentioned earlier, I saw references to Turkish-made primers now being sold here for less than six cents each. And that they seem to work fine. Also VV primers are appearing, but no mention of pricing. Maybe it is finally time for a primer price war. Just let the free market work. What I don’t understand is why the numerous foreign primer manufacturers took so long to invade the US market. But I continue to believe that the floor will be around a nickel.

It takes a lot of time and work to set up the import permits. IF the foreign primer manufacturers up production and export more to the US, I'll bet we hit $50 or less retail consistantly everywhere.

We can easily regularly consume an intire shipload, but can they send that much?

I was at Wally world today..saw 3 different people that all asked me if I had ANY LRPs. I have a few...but at this point we seem to be helping each other find primers. esp the LRPs. I promised a couple hundred to one fellow and before I got out of the store made a trade with a fellow 1000SRPs for the same in LRPs with the other two fellows getting some. Going to save the rest for some others. I also had another fellow ask me for 460 ammo. gave him what I have. Certain things are STILL very hard to find...rifle ammo is making a recovery of sorts here in Rifle Country. Big Game seasons start around Aug 15th. Just a question...can you shoot 454 Casull in the 460 Smith? if so I'll give that fellow about 40 rounds of that too. He wants to hunt deer with it. Still think...primers will come back but at 50-65 per 1000

IMO is all the rumors about new American primers and the foreign primers keep flooding the market I believe we will see 4¢ per for primers and maybe even lower.

The Ginex brand (Bosnia) SPP are great and can be had at .065 ea @ case of 5000 which includes free ship and haz. I have loaded several thousand using a Dillon 550 and a 1050 with no issues. 9mm, 40, 45, .38, .357. They work perfectly and have become my go to primer. Same for Cheddite for shotgun.

Went to Sportsmans Warehouse this morning for my hunting license and they had RP 1 1/2 SPP for $5.71 per sleeve. Limit 2 sleeves per day. $5 or so per sleeve has been their going rate all through this mess. Go on the 'net and they're $99 per brick ($9- $10 per sleeve) plus hazmat plus shipping plus tax.... I've become convinced that the internet sites are gouging us and have been for a long time.

always liked to support the local stores BUT...Went to the LGS. they had cci large rifle primers so I got 4 packs, went to the check out counter and found out they are $13.98 a 100. not going back any time soon. tired of getting screwed...

This thread has no longer seems to have purpose. Most of the posts are just complaining about primer prices which has been done many times already. Nothing can be solved here so this thread has run its course.
