One hand gun

My all time favorite revolver is my 1968 Colt Trooper .357. However it would be a toss up between my Dan Wesson Pistol Pac and either my 4" M-27 or 6" M-28.

In my youth I would have likely chosen an "Old Model Blackhawk" or maybe even a MKII .22 Ruger.

Times have changed. I own more .45 ACP caliber handguns than all others combined.

My heart tells me a Smith Gov't Model Target 1911. My brain keeps screaming Glock Model 30?

Oh what the hell, let's go with a 4" GP100, "Today."

As above, Chief 38 nailed it. Obviously I can't deal with the thought of it either.

M65-1. Used to belong to the Lubbock, TX, police, way back when. Spiffed her up and had her tuned.

Not much an M65 can't do. Including lookin' pretty. (Pardon me while I give her a smooch: Sm*#k!)

I have, among a buncha others, a 6" Python Elite - means a stainless Python made in the early 2000s in the Colt custom shop -- that is a very nice revo.

But I prefer the M65.

My Remington R1 1911 45 ACP.

I don't currently have any handguns, but if I could 'HAVE' only one, that's easy:

Colt SAA P1940 (4.75" bbl, .44-40, Blue/CC) w/one-piece Ivory Grips.

As it stands right now my 640 38spl as I have not warmed up to my Colt Defender 45 completely yet. I may...or may not. Another real possible for an only hand gun would be a 640 Pro Series, if I could ever get eyeballs on one.

Stay safe, John

What an new and innovative thread idea....... sorry Drm50 could not help myself!!! been here for 10 years....... wow 10 years!!!!

In 1943/44 France it was the .45 Liberator.......... just enough gun to get yourself a nice PP/ PPK/ P-38 , FN-1935; maybe even a Luger or MP-34/40.

Works for me!

Of what I own....... a Beretta 92 Compact w/ my extra 17rd Mecgar mags with Grip adaptors.... or my 3" 66 and a slew of Safariland speedloaders.

On second thought....this is the S&W Forum......... my Performance Center SD-9 w/ both 12 and 15rd mags using the Smith +2 adaptor....... heavy yes but shoots like a .22

I did. Not theoretical for me. Lean times. Here's what it was:

Luckily, it's a bit better now and I also have a Sig 226 SAO in 9mm.

It's happened to me a few times and the gun that has survived several culls has been my S&W 649 in 357mag.
