One Million Shields!

I got lucky and got mine back right when these hit the market.
Shop didn't rape me either! :D

RSA?

I'VE HAD MY 40 SHIELD FOR OVER A YEAR ! TAKE IT TO THE RANGE ALMOST EVERY WEEKEND AND PUNISH IT! WHAT RSA PROBLEM? THIS IS THE FIRST I'VE HEARD OF IT!

M&P Shield

Our Agency just purchase 601 of the M&P Shield. We had 2 out of 601 with the Recoil Guide Rod problem and that was from some monkey handed Troopers forcing things back together
Good Job S&W

Wow. The 1,000,000th Shield was made in November 2015!

Don't know where the other 999,998 of 'em went, but I got two of them in the last month. Got the 9 first and loved it so much I ran out and got the .40!

A financial success for Smith and Wesson for sure. You think Glock is kicking himself for waiting so long to produce a single stack 9mm?

Love my Shield. I bought my Shield .40 about two years ago. Awesome weapon. Very accurate and never a malfunction.

It took just under 4 years to make 1 million Shields, in a portion of the factory and making dozens of other gun types at the same time. During WW II it took the entire factory making the same basic .38 M & P revolver about 4 years to make about 800,000 examples, running 24/7/365. Quite a testimony to modern production methods and materials.

Yes and no. I'll bet that none of the revolvers had any failures.

Also, the M&P pistol is a completely different gun. Far less machining.

Still, you are correct about modern techniques. At their best, they couldn't have made 1M revolvers, in the same time period, unless they built a second factory.
