If it's actually possible to have a favorite, I'd have to put this M10-10 very high on the list. This variation was made as an export run (for Brazil), and are quite unique when it comes to Model 10's of recent (after 1980) vintage.
This model (product code 100135) is not seen often and differs from run-o-the-mill M10's in that it has a shrouded ejector rod along with a .357 Mag length cylinder. Some folks have posted that their units will chamber the 357 Mag cartridge, but mine is original and will only chamber the 38 special and is so marked.
I cannot verify how many exist in the US, but have seen reports that the number is in the 70-80 range. I looked for quite awhile for this one and added it to my collection several years back.
If I had to pick a favorite M10 (yeah, right !), it would definitely be a 3" variation, and this one would be very high on the list.
I've posted pics of t his gun before, but a few weeks back Craig Spegel sent me these Boot Grips made of Birdseye Maple, so I thought I'd put this post up.
Enjoy.
And with the original grips.....
