If it's actually possible to have a favorite, I'd have to put this M10-10 very high on the list. This variation was made as an export run (for Brazil), and are quite unique when it comes to Model 10's of recent (after 1980) vintage.
This model (product code 100135) is not seen often and differs from run-o-the-mill M10's in that it has a shrouded ejector rod along with a .357 Mag length cylinder. Some folks have posted that their units will chamber the 357 Mag cartridge, but mine is original and will only chamber the 38 special and is so marked.
I cannot verify how many exist in the US, but have seen reports that the number is in the 70-80 range. I looked for quite awhile for this one and added it to my collection several years back.
If I had to pick a favorite M10 (yeah, right !), it would definitely be a 3" variation, and this one would be very high on the list.
I've posted pics of t his gun before, but a few weeks back Craig Spegel sent me these Boot Grips made of Birdseye Maple, so I thought I'd put this post up.
Enjoy.

Very Nice Indeed!! The Gun Too!! :D
If you remeber right I emailed you asking about one of these I'd seen that "WAS" available but the deal fell through.. I've only seen a few of these in my small amount of time looking at S&Ws..
Congrats on the Super "RARE" M10-10 Brazilian SmithNut..
And having Craig Spegel make you all those Killer Grips..
Realy like the birdseye maple, reminds me of a custom Fenders Neck..
NICE!!

The 3 inch round-butt K frame is a true "sleeper" when it comes to finding/collecting even in a common version.

The stocks on your rare Mod 10-10 shows that even a collectors item can be "aftermarketed" with class!

Well done and don't you wish guns like these still came from S&W?

I have GOT to get myself a set of those grips someday! I love the maple look against the blued steel. Really a sharp piece.

beautiful gun

That has to be the most beautiful combination of blue steel and wood that I have seen in a while. Thanks for sharing.

Sweet, Awesome Nice, Beautiful...
I'm sorry, but words like that just don't say enough.
Very well done.

You've got to get yourself some ostrich skin boots to go with that piece.

Rarity and beauty in one piece! Craig's grips really set that blued gun off.

Thanks for the great post,

Jerry
