Just wanted to give a brief thanks to one of our forum members here. Grover ( one eye) is one hell of a nice guy and deserves some recognition. Out of the goodness of his heart sent me a Matech BUIS for my M4 for T/E without asking for cash straight up but more or less when I had it. Who does that in this day and age? Its really cool for someone to go out of their way to hook up a relative stranger, just because they share a love of firearms and all things that go bang.

As for the sight I'll post a detailed review after the fourth, my buddy who reloads for me busted his equipment pushing some primers from 5.56 brass and hasnt finished my batch of ammo. I want to give this thing a workout before giving an opinion :D

Thanks again Oneeye!

I couldn't agree with you more.

Without Grover's help and guidance there's no way I'd have done any of what I've done to my Sport.

I agree as well. He had the sight I purchased in the mail coming my way before I had the check going his way. I hope it doesn't bite him in the butt one day and make him lose faith in humanity. It is nice to know that there are some guys out there that can still deal with another man on his word!

Gentlemen, Thank you very much. I grew up where a man was as good as his word and in todays society that is not how it always is. Alot of us came into the forum at close to the same time, with the same level of enthusiasm that is addictive. We all realized early on that our Sports and even the other models of M&P15's were something special. I cant speak for anyone else but I tried to become part of AR15.com and M4.? ( I dont remember) and got run off post haste. Ended up over here, we were all learning together and were not the type of people to tell you how you messed up. If we made a mistake we readily admitted to it and warned the other members so that they didnt repeat it. Plus because we hadnt dumped $1200 on up (most of us anyway) we had the additional money to fix what was already a great rifle to an even better level. I remember when we started figureing out just how accurate that 1-8 5R barrel is. Alot of us were surprised and I was tickled pink cause I knew I had my prairie dog gun and an AR all in one. You can tell how a person is by how he talks to other people and deals with situations. The members of this forum have all come across as stand up guys. The ones who werent didnt stick around very long and it wasnt any of us that ran them off. It was their own consciousness they didnt know how to deal with people that had been brought up right (I didnt say easy) but people with good values. It has been such a pleasure to get to know you guys. I have gained more from you all than you could ever know. My handloading has improved, I can spot a really crappy accessory from a distance and if I dont see it one of you guys know about it. We have all enabled each other and it has been a fun ride and I hope it will continue to be so. Next Wednesday is my birthday and I feel like I am leaving middle age and headed to my senior years but I can still have fun. Thanks Guys!!:)

YEP + 1 for Grover here too ! Great guy to deal with. Cant wait to get back to that part of the country. Just get so fed up with the dog eat dog type of business. God Bless Ya!

Yep!
It's gentlemen such as Grover that make me feel welcome in this forum. I visited a couple of the other forums but didn't appreciate the "snobbery' that was evident. Being a "newbie" can be a bit intimidating, yet I never once felt threatened by others comments but rather have learned from the guidance that they have freely shared with us all.

Having been in the Air Force during the Viet Nam war we were told that Chesty Puller was a Navy cook, BUT this proves that a Marine never leaves a forum member behind. ;)

Sorry but after being TDY to MCAS Iwakuni Japan twice and have half our ground support equipment for our C141 go missing a little inter-service rivalry is called for. :D

+1 on oneeyeopen!

I am pretty new to the forum, and although like most of you ..... I too have a long history with firearms, including other ARs ........ I 'am' new to the M&P.

So .......... I've been doing a lot of reading here, and unless you just aren't paying attention, it's very clear that Grover is the kind of person that you would really like to have along on a trip to the range, the woods, the lake ......... or even to local tavern! :-)

Just "down to earth, old school" good people!!

P.s. too bad about the 'other' forum ........ their loss .......

+1 to Grover, he made me a heck of a deal on some mags awhile back and has helped me out with lots of questions I had on my Sport since I am so new to ARs. A toast to Grover!

I might have hijacked a water buffalo or a generator once. When you are the step children of the military you do what you have to do to get the job done...that was a different time and a different world... lol

The Marine Corps is not the step child of the military. They happen to fall under the Department of the Navy....the MEN'S Department! :D

I couldnt agree more with the above sentiments. Grover has always been there to answer texts, phone calls, e-mails, etc. Even on the most potentially embarassing screw ups...he's a real gentleman (yeah, the gas block:confused:)
Thanks again buddy!

There is no disagreeing with all that is said. I know when I post a question or a post about my stuff, he is one of the top 2 people on here I hope will reply. While I appreciate and listen to all the posts he is definately one I look for most.

Ditto Ditto Ditto Ditto

No NEED to repeat the Back Slaps and hi Fives to Grover... im sure his HEAD is swelled up SOOO MUCH he is just ITCHING at his keyboard to Dive in and answer ANY question that arises ... :D at a LIGHTENING pace....;)

As I have said before... thanks for all the help bud:)

....

Yeah My wife came in and poked my head with a needle LOL...Thanks but it is people like you all that keep me coming back...when I first joined there were guys like TangoFoxtrot, rojodiablo, JePes, MPDC, Dragon88, these guys are the ones who really set the atmosphere in here. Not making me feel like a DA or berating a question even if it was stupid. If you look at the join dates...there are a ton of us who all joined about the same time and we have only followed in the footsteps of those who were here before us.
I know I missed some of the people who set this tone and if I did I am truly sorry but the people who convinced the admin that we needed this forum are the ones truly responsible for how great it is today!!
