Online parts/decent shipping? Is it possible?

It's impossible to say that any seller will have the best price. I'm buying a YHM-126 lower. CTD has the lowest price. My Aimppoint H1 with LaRue mount was priced best at LaRue. Buddy bought an Aimpoint Pro from Midway which was the lowest price. Primary Arms had the lowest Price on a Harris SBRM, then a couple months later when I wanted another Harris Amazon had the lowest price. Cabela's definitely had the best prices and availability on .22lr for a while earlier this year. SGAmmo usually has great ammo prices but now and then Palmetto State Armory has the best deal on 5.56. When you get into upper end optics and flashlights there is no telling who will have the best prices. I just bought a Surefire P3X for $155 delivered from B&H Photo. I had never done business with them before.

It was cheaper than dirt not midway. Which also had a $2.99 handling fee.
Interesting. Are you going to go back and correct the original post?

If I had a retail outlet as large as Midway, I'd probably charge $3 for a tiny order as well. I've ordered a lot of stuff from Midway USA. I just looked back through my orders and don't see a single one for less than $25. I use the "Wish List" to good effect. I rarely need one small part in a hurry. For that matter, I rarely need any gun part in a hurry. So, I put the small things on the wish list. Then when I need something else, I just gather a bunch together and buy it all at once. Saves on shipping and saves me that $3 charge (which I didn't know about because I've never placed an order that small).

People love to complain about shipping cost. They feel like the store is ripping them off. Before you complain about a small fee like that, run your own business. You'll change your tune pretty quick.

One more thing....

Botach Tactical has free shipping all the time. They also have good prices. But just try to get them on the phone; you can't. Try to email them; you might get a response. Yes, free shipping is great, but it's a gamble whether or not you'll get what you order. They have no trouble taking your money right away though.

CTD, you have to really pay attention where they're shipping it from and you have to order bulk. Otherwise, yeah... they're far from "cheap".

That is the way I work it also with Midway, Brownells, etc., but never with Cheaper Than "You Know What" as I refuse to do business with a company like that.
We do shipping via USPS, FedEx, SpeeDee Delivery, and LTL pallet freight. In most cases, after the items are collected, it takes as much time to package and prepare a whole 2,500 lb pallet for shipment as it does a 1 pound package.
Say one of my employees has to go find one item, the actual labor cost (not just hourly wage) alone would probably cost me $2.00-$3.00 if they did it VERY quickly. They still need to make sure it gets properly packaged and labeled for shipment

Thanks. Found it.

Do you know if it comes with attaching screws/hardware? The description doesn't say.

I got my part today, 3 days from Cali to WI. :D Everything you need to install is included. You unscrew the nipple piece, put the big plate on the inside on the hand guard, the washer on the outside and screw the nipple in. It will only mount in one position though without modifying the inside of the hand guard, would need a little plastic cut away if you wanted to use any other hole. As is, it's 3rd hole back from the front, should work for the bipod. Hope to hit the range next week and try it out.

3 days...awesome!

I just went back and looked at my Midway account on line. You can look at all orders that you have made. I can truly say l have never had any problems with the price of the shipping. It has always been fair and on time. I shop the web when I buy, and almost always find my way back to Midway. Now today , l drove forty minutes to BassPro, paid $4.23 per 100 of CCI lg rifle primers. Counting what my gas cost and the bad taste in my mouth on the price, I would have gladly paid 3 or 4 dollars to ship it to me.:D
