OOPS! Reloaded Too Many Times

I recently discarded all my nickel plated .357 Mag cases due to splitting issues (which I understand is common). So far none of my non plated cases have split.

I see more split nickeled cases than I do brass. But I do see split/cracked brass cases too.

Do what you feel safe with. People I trust say no more than five reloads.

Na.......Iffen you INSPECT your cases you can get more than five.....Iffen you don't firewall your loads. You can get more than 5.
Iffen the primer pocket is still tight.....The case is not split.....You run a bent paper clip down in the case and drag it up the side. If you don't feel a bump...You are good to go........I have 30-06 cases that have been loaded more than 5.....The only downside is after loading many times some rifle cartridges necks won't "spring back" to it's smaller size and won't hold the bullet as tight resulting in slightly lower velocity.
All my pistol brass(auto & revolver) gets loaded until the brass gets neck splits. Which may be 10 reloads or more.

Like I said the person that I trust to reload rifle for me says five and get rid of them. Guess we just have more to pick from then others. Since I am not shooting reloads from folks I do not trust it is no big deal to me. Besides I will not shoot reloads except those my friend and I make. All reloads we come across in deals get broken down and the components with the exception of the powder gets reused. Powder gets dumped in the flower beds.

Only 10 reloads on handguns cases? Must be shooting some hot reloads.
