O'Rielly Is Wrong Again

Habeas Corpus: Orielly still wrong, The U.S Government and the United States as a whole or part, was not theartened of falling apart or even comeing close to Civil War, or a rebellion that could not be handled by conventional means in New Orleans, that's why Habas Corpus wasnt even talked about. Lincoln used it because of Maryland Theartening to go with the Confedrate States. That would have meant Washington DC would be surrounded by the Confedrate States. Read your U.S. History Mr. O'rielly!! anyway I wrote him the last 2 nights. No response yet

Bill O is a clown. I quit watching his show when he interviewed obama. He threw him a bunch of meatball questions then hit his knees for the grand finale. Totaly bowed to the guy. He is a typical sell out.
Well, I guess I saw it differently.
I watched both the original show and the follow-up and in each I thought he made it abundantly clear that he was merely stating what happened. YES, indeed they did take away guns in New Orleans after Katrina.
Then he went on to say that the police did what they thought best under the circumstances....BUT...the consitutionality of it was for the courts to decide...NOT the police department....The SCOTUS did indeed decide it was unconsitutional and so it probably will not happen again in Lousisiana.
If you think O'Reilly is BAD...go over to MSNBC and watch Rachael Maddow and Keith Olberman....then you will see BOTH sides of the issue.

There are two sides to every situation....I like the issue of waterboarding and consitituonal rights for terrorists....having been all over the world and seen some of the things that happen in other places....I laugh at those opposed to using whatever techniques work to get the information you need.
Cannot help but wonder if one of their loved ones, father, sister, mother, brother, etc., were in enemy hands being held captive and mistreated by the enemy and they had captured an enemy combatant who could tell them ...would they be so against waterboarding or other techniques to get the information to free their loved ones or have them mirandized and placed in a nice comfortable jail.
I sort of like it the way Singapore does...you chew gun and drop it on the street...you get 20 lashes with a bamboo cane....immediately...they have a very speedy court system for these offenses....you will not do it again.
You use drugs or illegal things in Singapore....they just immediatey try you and will execute you....No more drugs.

The problem with guys like O'Reilly is simple...
...people pay FAR too much attention to them and by that, I mean ALL of them; Hannity, Limbaugh, et.al.
They are kind of theraputic in a way and are often quite entertaining...but they are all just that...ENTERTAINMENT, nothing more.
They really aren't in touch with half as much going on as they would like people to believe. Anymore than "The View" or the rest of the talking heads out there.
I listen to them; Hannity on the drive home and Michael Savage. They can be quite funny at times. But remember, they are to "journalism" as professional wrestling is to sports.

The O'Reilly Factor has improved the general quality of responsibility of 'the media' to 'the people' IMHO.
Granted he's ego-driven, pompous, not infrequently wrong on some issues, and inserts HIMself into far too many "interviews"....a term generally used to infer extraction of information from a guest rather than imposing the interviewER opinion upon one and all.
From time to time I check out other channels during some of his most flat-footed pomposity. And with growing regularity, I turn away from all of them, hoping something better than "Ice Road Truckers" or "Pawn Stars" is on.
Still, I believe our public air waves are better served given his foibles, than without his influence.
He does have some guest-interfaces at times that are without too much insertion of his views. And D Miller does represent a kind of jewel in the tiara of non-liberal speakers he parades daily before us.
Try Olbermann or those awful ladies if you want to see something else.
At least Geraldo is no longer the wife's least favorite talking head.

I have watched Bill for quite awhile, but that show was my last. I joined Oath Keepers about a year ago and feel that I am in good company. Any time a new member signs up I get an E-mail saying so. Ever since that show new members have been signing up like crazy.....thanks Bill! Might want to check them out:

O'Reilly doesn't seem to understand that one-sided blowharding, blustery belligerance isn't a "talk" show; it is more like junior high school-level discourse. I became tired of his yelling and quit watching him after one guest told him, after she couldn't get a word in edgewise and sat through one of his tirades, "This is not why I agreed to come on your show," afterwhich he bellowed "Oh now, don't start giving me that stuff." Off went Fox News in my house forever.

For those who say they will turn off FOX forever I have one question. Who are you going to watch? MSNBC. O'Reilly is what he is a pompass commentator, but he does try to put a semblance of fairness of opinion. Yes I know he over talks people even those that agree with him. Remember this, he at least got Obama in what had to be considered hostile territory while McCain wouldn't come on. O'Reilly is the most watched commentator on cable. He could sound like Hannity who makes no bones about his political feelings, or Beck who drives me nuts, but I have heard those who are not fans say "Beck has the best research on TV" so if you want to dump FOX try MSNBC or you could watch the girls. Look at the ratings they indicate that the populace isn't buying the liberal line as much as we all think. I think FOX has had just a little to do with that.

Maybe it's just me.....but it seems like the Big O'Really is moderating a number of his views. I think he's softened his comments on PrezBO position & performance, and on a number of other issues as well.
He does continue to talk over too many people from any & all points of view; what he does pretty good, is not let them escape the exact question he has posed....although if their answer is in line with his own, he will take over the response before the guest has finished.
Increasingly these past few months I tend to watch other stuff most of his broadcast time.
He has left a mark on the broadcast cult though.

Joseph Farah, on the internet. My wife watches 24, and Lost and a few other lame programs on the lamestream networks, and if she turns the TV on while I'm still eating breakfast, I watch the weather forecast. That's wrong half of the time and it's still more accurate than the "news."
To adapt a motto of the dying feminazi movement, a man needs a TV like a fish needs a bicycle.
Hannity is 2 faced. Talks tough on his radio show then kisses up on tv, turned him off long time ago.

in defense of Hannity...his radio show is HIS. His tv show is FOX'S. He has to dance for his masters...just like everyone else who works for somone else.
