The first thing most of us did when we got our K frame was to ditch the Magna grips and put in Pachmayr Gripper's. Some others kept the Magna's but added a Tyler T grip. The minority kept the factory Magna grips. Usually, those were the cops who would read a two day old newspaper left in the lounge rather than buy a current one. The Pachmayr grips were the only ones authorized because they have the little cut-out on the bottom so the serial number could be read at the range when we qualified.
I did a little of both my 2" 10 had Magnas and Tyler-T grip great in plain clothes and still plenty of grip. My 4" had Pachmayr Grippers. Funny guys too cheap to buy a paper would ask if you were going to finish your sandwich or fries as well. Makes mie laugh.
