So I am browsing GB and see a 2.5 inch 686 7 shot that has been parkrized and is forest green with black/blue cylynder and latch. Not that i haven't parkerized guns but I m wondering how this finish will last it does look cool
I saw the gun your referring to. I don't know about durability but I don't like the way it looks and you can tell it's coming off around all the hard edges.
Whatever it is, it isn't parkerizing.
Stainless steel can't be parkerized.
Since most chemical gun finishes can't color stainless, it's probably a "paint" type of gun coating.
How durable depends on the finish and on how well it was applied.
