Parts recommendation

I needed a 'Bolt stop screw' for my S&W 1500 rifle. The person at Gun Master in Plano, TX (972-429-0121) gave me three names to try and find the part.

Jack First Gun Parts in Rapid City, SD (605-343-9544) had the part in stock . I paid ~$15, $5 part and $10 shipping but they have to pay overhead costs too. My rifle will be fixed in a couple of days.

Before I talked to Gun Master, my internet search had failed at four other companies.

I have a Howa 1500 rifle and believe that Howa makes the actions for the SW 1500 and Weatherby Vanguard rifles. SportsWorld in Tulsa has Howa 1500 parts and you might try Weatherby parts dealers for the screws.Good luck.

Howa manufactures (or did) S&W, Howa, and Weatherby Vanguard rifles. It is not the same bolt stop screw in each action. I have 1 rifle of each and the parts are different.

My bolt is in the mail.
