PERSONALIZED LICENSE PLATES

Saw a gorgeous blonde alone, driving a gray Porsche Carrera. She was stop at a light and her car tag read: WAS HIS.
.

Reminds me of the apocryphal story of the lady who placed an ad in the paper: "Like new Porsche, $50". A guy went by test drove it, and asked what was wrong with it for $50. The lady said that there was nothing wrong with it, but her husband, who had run off with his secretary, called her and asked that she sell his car and send him the proceeds.

There's a famous YouTube garage owner in Ontario who specializes in restoring/repairing/customizing classic vehicles, especially older Mopar muscle cars; and not long ago he finished doing a white '70 Challenger for himself which looked exactly like the one used in his favorite cult movie. He got a plate for it which read KOWASKI. I wasn't aware of government restrictions on number of characters, and emailed him asking him if he was aware that the name was mispelled. I was more than a little embarassed when he wrote back to me with the explanation.

Regards,
Andy

Plates

In bc a few years ago the icbc group started special plates for our bc parks programs, ya paid 40.00 up front then 40.00 every year after, I got plates for the truck and the jeep, what convinced
me was I was so early with the program I got the same number for both vehicles with one letter changed in the prefix, the truck is PA-**** and the jeep reads PW-****, easy peasy.
The funniest i ever saw, it was 1974 and I was coming back from the snake river jump by knievel, party on for four days and heading home when a chevelle loaded with texas freaks blows by me slamming beers and hoohawing, me having my own beer pulls up beside and toast the week, the driver slams the floor and as they head away I notice his plate, KAZZOO, it really fit the timeframe.

CAJUNLAWYER should get this one. It was Saul's from Breaking Bad.

My dad was one of those men that is hard to buy for. He had finally gotten to the point were if he needed a tool or a gadget, he went out and bought it.

He was very proud of his Navy service in WW II and of his ship. One year, I called Mom and asked if he would like a personalized tag with the ship's name on it. She thought that was a great idea, so I ordered one for their Toyota Rav4. When the tag arrived, he was as happy as if i had bought him a new Cadillac. :)

His tag was the YMS 55, which was a yard minesweeper, the smallest seagoing ship in the US Navy during WW II. He was a plankholder and told me that going from Norfolk, Virginia to the Med was quite a trip! The ships were considered too small to have a USS name.

Back in the last century PA had the motto "YOU HAVE A FRIEND" across the plate. Some scallywag got IN BED as a vanity plate. He did not get to keep it long though.

Local Proctologist’s Porsche had “RearAdml” on the back and full Rear Admiral on the front. Great doc with a sense of humor you would expect. Retired now but I see him at gunshots now and again. Joe

Funny you mentioned that. Several years ago I saw a hearse with STIFF 1.

I've also seen a little red coupe with HYOFCR.
We had a band here that had a hearse, with STIFF on the plate, someone complained and the state took the plate back.
