I've had a couple of inexpensive 3-9x Bushnell scopes for many years and have been quite pleased with them.

Bushnell also sells a line of higher quality optics. I recently bought an Elite 6500 2.5-16x. I think I got way more scope than what I paid for compared to the competition. SWFA's last ratings on rifle scopes put the 6500 very high on their list.

Don't see any reason for you to switch from Bushnell scopes if you like em. I think they make great products that fit many applications and budgets.

Hey there, I know you said you have teens (which are expensive them selves,) but i found a site on here where they have some decent stuff. Clones, lasers, mounts that wont break the bank. Just look through the 3 pages and u might find something u will like.
Flashlight and Laser Gun Mount, Gun Mounts for Sale - DealExtreme
heres the 1 i am thinking about picking up for my 15-22
$66.40 - Professional Laser Sight Rifle Scope with Gun Mount (3.5-10x40) - Mounts & Accessories

$36.85 - Aluminum Alloy Laser Sight Rifle Scope with Gun Mount (Red/Green Laser Configurable) - Mounts & Accessories

+1... ... pretty awesome for the money.

I think eather of the two scopes you mentioned would be a good choice. Personaly, I like to keep weight down and illuminated scopes ( all else equal ) tend to be heavier. On the other hand, the quick release adds weight. I would rather use high rise rings. (I use NcStar ones and really like them ). My scope is a 2x6x28, but 4x is a good all around compromise.

I have been using Bushnell Optics for years. I use their Binocs on the ocean alot and always been happy. I was just curious to hear some opinions

My buddy just ordered this for his .223

The variety of reticles Trijicon offers is amazing. It would be great if more scope manufacturers were as creative.

I have an inexpensive compact 4x from Primary Arms with a reticle that is a near exact copy of the TA01NSN. I sure wish there was an inexpensive triangle reticle available like the one that comes with the TR24. I had the opportunity to use a TR24 and very much liked it.

Same here. IMO, one the best things about the 15-22 is it's light weight. Weight was the overriding factor in sighting choices for my 15-22. Swapping out the factory sights with MBUS and a Primary Arms MicroDot was nearly a wash.
