I'm more of a 1970's and earlier Smith and Wesson guy but I saw this sitting on the shelf at my LGS. A 625-2 Model of 1988 on consignment. I checked it out. It was dirty as hell but I could tell it wasn't shot much and it would clean up.
Not knowing much about this model, I did some research on the forum here. A lot of great info. Thanks. You all talked me into it. Now I had to have it.
I went back and was able to knock the price down to $850. It's hard to find any vintage S&W here in Southern California so I think I did okay.
No box or original grips but that's alright, as I plan to shoot it. Finally brought it home yesterday and cleaned it up.
I'd love to see pics of other 625-2's you all might have. I'm also trying to find an old set of the Pachmayr grips that would have come with this gun. Did they use the SK/GR on this model?
Thanks all.
