Finally got over to OKC on Saturday and met up with seller of this 36-1 3" gun. Feels great handlingwise, shoots accurate as well. Little wear on it but don't think its been shot too much. Only issue I have so far is that the DA firing is not reliable at all; making 3 revolutions at times to get all rounds fired. SA is good mostly, only had one round I had to retry. These same loads work good in all my other guns, so I don't think thats the issue. Have been told to replace the mainspring already, would that be the consensus here too?? TIA

A previous owner may have tried to lighten the trigger pull by clipping a coil or two off the spring. Replacing the spring is a good starting point. You might also check for excessive endshake.

I'd buy a spring kit from Apex if it were mine.
Pinned barrel, small logo on the left frame, square butt, 3" Heavy Barrel.

I have 2 of them and they check every box.Good carry gun,nice balance,fun to shoot and accurate if you do your part.I rotate them into my daily carry and have nothing but good things to say about the 36 3 in revolver.

That's about the perfect carry gun. I hope you are able to get everything figured out. To me it does sound like a mainspring problem.

I have a nickel one, love it. An unmolested one was going for $600 up until the recent "hesitation to spend" kicked in.
