Picking Up A New Old 645

Great looking 645. I just replaced the safety with one from a 4506 as I did't like the look of the screwed on safety lever. I just have to find some original matte factory grips like your and I will be set.

Yeah the safety lever on my 3906 is so much cleaner. But we all have our warts so the 645 gets to keep hers. :D

I had one that had Novack fixed sights installed. Just for fun one day, I loaded a magazine with empty brass just to see if it would feed. It did. Every single case. I've never seen a semi-auto straight out of the box do that before.

I carried it for a few years as a duty weapon. I sold it about a year after I was involved in a shooting incident with a guy who thought he was going to kill me. Like a lot of things I've sold over the years, I wish I had it back. The serial was TBL-9433. Who knows, I may run across it again some day.

You never know what fate will deal us. Hope you cross paths with it again.
I've read on here how these feed the empties and tried it at the end of my first range day with it. They all chambered and ejected no problems.
But the important part is that it's fed all the Ammo through her without a hitch.
