I did these about 3 months ago, and they healed up perfect, but I was talking about my work and I figured it would be nice to show it to you, but the tattoos are not crooked it is the camera angle because I was standing off to one side. But enjoy and feel free to critique, thanks guys

Ok, I'm not going to slam you but you are opening your own shop so I will critique some. I've got a lot of ink, some of which I have A LOT of time and money invested so I'm not some Joe Schmoe. The wings' lines are shaky. I know it's old school and maybe the images are supposed to have sharp points but I just feel like they don't flow well, should be smoother. I will say the shading looks good so it does appear you have good gun/needle control. I'm more interested in seeing your custom work and maybe bigger pieces though. I'm not saying "anyone can do flash" but when it comes from your mind that reveals your true talent.

yeah but noone wants to pay for custom work around here right now, but my investor blew me off and didn't have the decency to even call but needless to say i am not opening the shop for a while. Good to know there is another heavily tattooed guy in the community, and thanks for the honesty, I thought the same but when the customer gives you an extra 50 not to disagree with them you tend to shut up pretty quick, lol but i can post up some flash I worked on

I discern that they're not anatomically correct --- the birds, I mean...

Where are you that no one wants custom work?! I ONLY wear custom work. Full sleeves and 2 chest pieces. The closest I have to flash is a sacred heart with a Mom and Dad banner. Hell, cut someone a deal and get them to do a custom piece, THAT'S when your name starts getting around. If they want a panther, take it to the next level and so forth. I know I'm basically preaching to the choir but if you really do want to open your own shop then that's what you're going to have to do. I'm lucky, in Atlanta there are quite a few amazing artists and if you get a jacked up tattoo then it's your own dang fault.

I used to be an English as a Second Language tutor in college and my students were predominantly Asian women. More than one of them commented in puzzlement about some of the tattoos they saw people wearing with oriental writing. Why would someone walk around with a tattoo that says "I Fxxx small dogs", or some such, they would ask. I'd shrug and say, "They're (insert political party), what can you expect".

OK.............I laughed out loud when I read this. I've always wondered if folks really knew what the oriental writing said???

All the more reason to NOT get a foreign language on you. If you can't speak it or know with absolute certainty what it says, DON'T do it!

I was thinking of a tactful way of saying this, but I'll settle on being tacky. Does that girl know that is the one of the worst places to get a tattoo? I mean, by the time she is 50, those tattoos are going to be a stretched out blur. Most women put the birds on the front of the shoulder, not the chest.

P.S. The outlines look like they have been scribbled.

Well, nice rack...but I've seen way better tattoos.

I have quite a bit of ink on me. Have been getting tattooed since the early 70's. I have some really nice work, and some not so great work on me. I have to agree with G-Mac I have seen way better work. I dont say this to offend you, but an artists work is his sell. I wouldnt be buying.
