We are edging further and further towards a tyrannical government RIGHT NOW! Not 50 or 100 yrs down the road, it is happening now. I can almost guarantee that BHO will use an Executive Order, without basis or legislation to go on, to ban whatever he deems necessary based on Bidens Gun Crime Circus Side Show. The man is a socialist idealist, and remember he is out to "fundamentally" change the country, and believes our constitution is an "imperfect" document. It is time for everyone to put on thier boots, cause this will get ugly really quick unless somehow some cooler heads, and common sense prevail. As for Piers Morgan .... who cares, they hate him in the UK, and now we hate him here!

Make no mistake, Piers Morgan and all the other members of the gun hating media use the same ruse. They'll tell you they don't want an all out ban on guns to make it seem like they only want "reasonable restrictions". Then when the politicians get their "reasonable restrictions" they'll say it wasn't enough we need more. You now how it goes this is nothing new, I'm preaching to choir here. There isn't a single gun no matter what it looks like that Piers Morgan and all of his clones wouldn't ban from private civilian ownership. Morgan's arguments are specious and designed to inflame the guest into looking "extreme". et al; Alex Jones interview.

Just remember, before the Constitution was written and adopted the American colonists began the war of Independence because the King had raised their taxes too high and when the Colonists objected the King tried to confiscate all the weapons beginning with the march to Concord. The night before Paul Revere road his horse through the countryside warning the Colonists "the British are coming", yes, they were coming to disarm the populace. Call me an extremist or whatever but if the American Colonists of that time were concerned that their rulers wanted to disarm them how much more concerned should we be now when we have an administration that rules completely against the wishes of the majority of public opinion aka Obamacare.

The 2nd amendment was affirmed by the founders because they understood that history never fails to repeat itself and they made sure we able to keep history on the freedom side of the ledger for future generations. The sportsman, argument is a tired one. The self defense part of the argument is only part of the equation and the admin is trying to seperate that out to say "no one needs an AR or AK style assault weapons to defend themselves". My rebuttal to them is, sure I do, those are the very weapons I will need to defend myself from you. That's not extreme, that is what the founders believed and so do I. Is that too political?

I just watched the video posted above and I am a little torn on both sides. It was really nothing more than a heated debate, but that is what Morgan does. I am for guns and our rights but I do have a question....and I mean no disrespect here....we are against a gun ban so we can keep our guns...I get that, however is not our military working for the Government and Obama? If the Government did decide to go nuts and do the tyranny thing....as the military is under Obama's control, would we not be fighting against the best military in the world? That being the case our small amount of firepower and lack of real combat training compared to the US Military.....well we would not stand a chance. Somehow, someway I think we as gun owners need a different approach but I have no idea what that is. LOL

Thats what the Afghani people did against the Russians. And the VC in Vietnam.Study history you dont have to go that far back.

While I have no real numbers, I would guess that there are hundreds of thousands (if not more) military veterans scattered across this country, many with "real combat training."

I'm also not sure of just how "small" the amount of firepower is that is also scattered across the country. It is likely larger than any of us realize.

Piers Morgan needs to learn what the real issues are. I would gladly show him the areas of a few major cities where he could do some midnight interviews on the streets, or housing projects. He might even survive it with all his money in his pockets. Perhaps he could hire armed guards from local drug gang?

At this mornings white house news briefing, with the president, they turned off (or had a failure of) the reporters microphones. No one watching could hear what questions were ask?

Perhaps because his EPA chief had a hidden email account and talked with her inner circle under a fictitious name? Or any number of war issues, or finance issues?

This is a real good time for everyone to support the NRA and get others to join. Those with ANTI-traditional-American-values are up to their necks in investigations.

No one will ever search our homes for guns. Our cities are the biggest the world has ever seen. Criminal gangs are bigger and better armed than ever. It would take an extra million dedicated soldiers, vehicles and trained dogs to search houses in just one major city‘s many miles long crime gang zone.

Where do you rent millions of dogs trained to sniff spent gunpowder and Hoppes number 9.

How do you get thousands of people to stay home from work and open their doors for the search. Or leave their keys at the police station?

Non of the school yard shootings were done with guns bought legally by the shooter. Hinkely that shot & badly wounded president Reagan and Brady was allowed to go home from mental hospital on weekend passes. Psychiatrists have their own ideas about confinement it appears. No one passes serious laws restricting what Psychiatrists do.

Honest people will not tolerate the government going after honest peoples guns when high crime areas of major cities are being ignored.

I remember the last time we had a big push and I remember having to sign my name and address to buy ammunition (in California). A long list of names and addresses on a clipboard. Like at various health studios where any stalker could learn a woman’s name and address by looking at the list while signing in, or working there, or whatever?

They always end up helping the criminals.

As a Vietnam Vet, we were well equipped and trained. We had over 500,000 men in Vietnam...and were fighting VC and NVA (well trained) and we controlled the air. While they could not beat us...we also could not "eliminate" them. I am not sure of the current size of our Army....but there are millions of Veterans...many with first hand combat experience. There are over 250 million guns in this country and many owners that are proficient with them. The military is sworn to protect and Defend the Constitution against all enemies forgein and domestic...our second amendment is part of the constitution we are sworn to defend. All Vets took an Oath to protect the Constitution and I was never released from that oath...I will still defend the Constitution and there are many like me. "WE the People" are a sleeping giant and well armed. No one can take our freedom from us....we would have to be willing to "surrender" our freedom and I think many are ready to defend that freedom if it ever comes to it. I do not think that will happen....and I hope it never comes to it......but Americans have never been afraid to rise to the challange and we place a high value on our freedom and are willing to pay a lot for it. Our National Cemetries are full of men that paid for the freedom we all have today....we owe it to them to carry this ball of freedom and we must not fail to pass on the freedom we have to our next generation ....or shame on us. Without our freedom, we have less than nothing....it has not come to that yet...and I think our representatives are getting the message. If there is a storm coming....we need to be prepared to stand up for freedom...to do less is unacceptable.
To see what its like for people that have lost that freedom and abilityu to defend themselves....read about the kamar Rough (sp) in Cambodia and see what a tyranical government can do to its people......it will scare the **** out of you. There are things worse than death that can happen to you....severe torture, intimidation, murder of your loved ones and worse.
We owe it to our future generation to keep the faith and preserve that freedom that was given to us...and paid a very high price for.

You can answer it to yourself and it's probably better if you do. Are the Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsman that currently serve the country ready to draw down on the American populace to disarm them, search their homes, and ransack their belongings to find firearms this current admin deems unsuitable for you to own?
Are you as former servicemen and women no matter what branch ready to draw down on the young men and women that would be sent to do those things you deem unconstitutional?

I would hazard a guess that for the most part none of us are prepared to do that either. This current attitude and thinking is a reaction to the workings of an admin that uses tactics of pitting one group of American against another. Let it never come to be that either of the two groups I've mentioned ever, and I MEAN NEVER HAVE TO MAKE THAT DECISION. Nor should we respect or elect any politician that would think this is solution to their reelection or political agenda.

There can be no good to come from pitting American against Americans. The best situation to protect our 2nd amendment rights is to do what we've been doing. Political lobbying, getting out the vote efforts, education of those voters that get their news from one sided sources.A political resolution to these dire straights is the best course of action. The founders however left us a last ditch alternative with the 2nd amendment and I believe in all my studies and all my experience that I'm seeing it the same way the founders had in mind. It is a last ditch alternative when all other ways have failed and not something to be taken casually nor bandied about in an irresponsible manner.
