Hello,

I recently acquired a single-shot 3rd model (perfected) .22LR target pistol, dated around 1913. I am looking for any exploded diagram, instructions, plans, dissemble and assembly guides, etc. Either books, pdf, or other forms such as original manual.

Thanks.

Welcome to the Forum conradin. You have a pistol that has a relatively low production, so there is not much available on gunsmithing these single shots. There were about 7000 of this model made from 1909 to 1923.

The frame functions and is basically an altered 38 Hand Ejector Perfected Model with the recoil shield removed, with the ejector from a 32 HE Model 1903. The first 2 models of single shot pistols used the frame from the 38 SA 3rd Model with and without the recoil shield.

David Chicoine's book - Antique Firearms Assembly/Dissembly has a section on the 38 DA Perfected, but I know of no reference materials that detail the parts for your Single Shot.

The 3rd mod, (Perfected) was the first model to have the right side side plate, and the interior works are very similar to all the 32 Hand Ejector's and do use most 32 HE parts. I was able to replace a trigger rebound slide and spring with ones from a 32 HE.
